Majestic Elegance Punta Cana - All Inclusive

My husband and I were at the Majestic Elegance from Nov. 7th -14th. We were wowed by the experience. I never really understood how reviews could make such a big deal out of staff until now. Sincerely, the staff made our stay. We were treated with kindness, politeness, a desire to please and everyone seemed so happy. Erickson was our butler. He looked us up every day to enquire how he could make our stay more pleasant. He made sure that we received our Majestic caps, brought a bottle of Bailey’s to our room, helped us change rooms, and simply was a true gentleman. We didn’t need much but he made sure our needs were met. He let us know how much he liked working at this hotel and his 11 years at this resort made him respect the company and their effort at pleasing customers. All staff were great, but these people went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Modesto took charge of getting us the perfect room after my expressing a desire to change location. Yackie at the Sea and See greeted us every day with a smile and made sure that everything was to our liking and Medium at Flavors made sure that the waiters were looking after their customers. You didn’t have to wait for your drinks. I have to mention and thank Felix at the Club bar by the pool and Marta and Santa. They made sure that our Bloody Caezar’s were just right. What a great team. These names might not mean much to you right now, but if you visit Majestic Elegance, their names will be linked with great memories. Cleanliness was another wow. Couldn’t fault a thing. We were in room 3223. It was spotless as was the entire resort. The entire grounds were perfectly manicured. For us, this added comfort to our stay. Rooms are large, comfortable, and so clean. The fridge is stocked every day, 2 bottles of alcohol and a bottle of champagne are part of room amenities if you book Club. There were also snacks, beer, plenty of water. The television worked well with tons of channels,but it wasn’t a Smart TV. The next thing that we loved about this resort were the amenities. There are tons of loungers, free bali beds (for the Club section), pools that run vertically along the length of the resort-all super clean. I must stay however that there are many tiles missing from the family pool. If you are an adult, booking Club is so worth it. Beside the adult pool you have access to a bottom floor and 2nd floor lounge on both sides of the resort, and a coffee lounge in building 2. There is a wonderful outdoor plaza with live entertainment after dinner that lasts until 9. The lobby is gorgeous. A grand staircase, comfortable seating, barmen that put on a show, and the 2nd floor functions as a piano bar before dinner and a quiet bar in the evening. There are literally places to have a drink everywhere you turn. We loved the Terrace in front of the Sea and See. What a nice place to sit and look at the beautiful ocean. Food and entertainment come next. The look of the restaurants is nice and so is the food. Tenderloins were tender, so was the chicken, everything was good but I wasn’t overly impressed with anything except for the service and the deserts at the buffet. We didn’t have one bad meal but nothing was spectacular. Entertainment shows in the theatre at 9 were also okay but nothing that made us go wow. Again, good, enjoyable, extremely talented dancers but produced mostly with local staff. If you like swimming in the ocean, there are waves and swimming is difficult. However, we really enjoyed the waves and walking along the beach was very good even if the shore was slanted. 2 areas to work on-caring for the cats, a little black one needs eye drops and fixing the main pool as too many tiles are missing. Honestly, I often debate between giving a resort a rating of 4 or 5 stars and often wish there was a 4.5 option, but this place is easily a 5 star. Out of the 24 or so resorts that we have visited, this place was the absolute best for overall service. We have had great butlers, barmen, etc. in the past but never have we come an entire staff that aimed to please and served you with a smile to this extent.
