I spent a week at Zembalo in the fall of '22. Everything about this B&B was wonderful. My room, which had a private bath, was spacious and comfortable and opened onto a large common living room and kitchen. Downstairs, where breakfast is served, is whimsically decorated and designed to allow guests to chat at breakfast if they wanted, or find a quiet nook for some privacy. The best part of the experience, though, had to be Rafaele, the proprietor, who is so hospitable and kind that you immediately feel at ease even if your Italian is limited. He also makes an outstanding caffe americano -- and, better still, his mother makes the breakfast treats!
