We arrived after a 3.5 hour drive and quite late
We had our little one with us but booked a double room. 
Kirsty was so helpful and was able to sort out our room for us at such short notice. She was really lovely and pleasant. Very welcoming. Thanks

Modern clean hotel. friendly staff especially (kirsty) clean room and bedding great location looking forward to exploring Portsmouth tomorrow. the seafront looked amazing on the drive in with spinnaker tower in lights lots of amusements and entertainment to explore.

On arrival we were greeted by chantelle who was extremely helpful. The room was very clean and tidy there was plenty of tea and coffee and extra pillows if needed. The other members of staff Alex and Mark were also helpful in telling us good places to eat in all was a great stay and will ve returning when next in Portsmouth.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful for our special needs.  Would certainly stay again. Very well situated with a Toby Carvery right next door. And a Lidl across the road! Very clean room, recently recarpeted with lots of parking available.

I had the pleasure of being checked in by Kray at Travelodge Hilsea, and I must say, his customer service was exceptional. He was friendly, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure my check-in process was smooth. Kray’s professionalism and attention to detail truly made my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend Travelodge Hilsea, thanks to Kray’s excellent service.

I stay here regularly as it's so convenient for the ferry crossings to and from France. Kirsty has always been brilliant at making us feel welcome. When I came alone in August, she even offered to accompany me to my room as I often struggle to unlock the door. Our room was clean and comfortable and we slept very well with plenty of tea and milk available. Recommended! 

Sadly while wanting to be close to the docks for an early morning ferry I booked the Central City Travelodge by accident instead of the one convenient one by the docks. I arrived at the hotel I wanted to be told I was at the wrong place. However Sean the receptionist was excellent in changing the Travelodge I wanted for a small changing fee. Nothing was too much trouble for Sean and he was knowledgeable and politely helpful. Later Harvey on reception was similarly helpful like Sean. The room was excellent with a comfortable bed, spotless well appointed shower room and all very satisfactory.

Very comfortable quiet hotel in great location for European ferry port. Good sized ensuite rooms with tea and coffee making facilities with king size comfortable bed. Pleasant helpful staff and within walking distance to all day eaterie.

Welcoming Staff and Convenient for Ferry

Stayed Fri 11th- Sun 12th March.
Great welcome by reception staff, especially James. He was very attentive to our needs, always addressed us by our surname, always asked if there was anything that we needed. Paid interest to our trips out, (not so sure he was impressed that Sheffield Wednesday had beaten Portsmouth 😜). 
The room we had was very big, plenty of room to move around & relax. Clean, very comfortable beds, pillows excellent (plus extra pillows in room if needed). Plenty of fresh soft towels. Plenty of free parking, Aldi supermarket 2 minute walk away I’ve no complaints whatsoever! Normally stay at a premier inn, but this time around Travelodge was cheaper, so so glad we did, we’ve been converted and will be staying again soon (eldest daughter in the Royal Navy/Portsmouth). And a big thank you to Shaun & the honest cleaners… We’d checked out & was 23 miles up the motorway when my phone rang. Shaun had rung to let us know that the cleaners had found my wife’s purse under the pillow. Quick U-turn (I bit of grumbling from me to the wife) and we picked it up.
Great experience, and recommend highly.

The picture of the outside was not up-to date, but this did not reflect the comfort of the rooms and convenient position. We were at the back of the hotel and it was nicely quiet. Plenty of parking - free.
