The Old Vicarage, Evenley. Brackley.

The Old Vicarage was the last stop at the end of our Round Britain motorcycle tour.  We took the whole place.  The house is full of history and wonderfully cosy - almost as warm as the welcome.  The food was fantastic, the hospitality first-class and to top it all, the village pub is excellent too!  Can't recommend this place highly enough.

I stayed here for a work re-union (9 of us) the hosts were tentative to every need and made us feel very welcome.

We had an amazing evening meal in the dining room and the host even suggesed that since there were 9 of us we could choose a menu taylored to our needs and tastes. This was a lovely special touch and made it feel like our own intimate dinner party.

Each room has it's own unique character and special features and the whole place has a very cosy welcome feeling

A very warm  awaits you at this delightful old vicarage lovingly cared for by David and Judith.  This very entertaining couple make you feel at home from the word go.  We had supper with them on the evening of our stay and it was obvious they are very passionate about the food they prepare using local ingredients as much as possible.  Breakfast too was a real treat and was cooked on the Aga by David who is obviously a very accomplished chef!!  The vicarage  retains many of its original features and is decorated and furnished in period style. I don't think you could find a more tranquil place to stay.  Overall a lovely experience and you will not be disappointed.   We don't have anything negative to say really.   Well deserving of a 5 star rating.

I booked the Granary at the Old Vicarage for my godmother parents who came over from Germany last weekend to celebrate their wedding anniversary with us, and we were all absolutely delighted and would like to thank Judith and Dave for making them feel so welcome and cared for. The breakfast, which we all had together, was excellent with wonderful produce, such as eggs from the Vicarage's own hens, picked only that Morning! My parents also loved the dinner they had on Sunday night in the fabulous kitchen, and commented how extremely attentive and helpful Judith had been throughout their visit. The house is truly special, managing to be cosy and homely as well as extremely beautiful and impressive at the same time, set in beautiful grounds. Priors Marston is a very picturesque village with a lovely pub, and the Butchers Arms in nearby Priors Hardwick is excellent. My parents will cherish the memories of staying at the Old Vicarage!

We spent a night at The Old Vicarage for my birthday with friends. We received a very warm welcome from Judith and David and tour of the house on arrival. As our friends arrived we were given cups of tea and home made chocolate cookies! We had drinks outside - nothing was too much trouble, and all at a B&B - amazing.  Dinner was home made and delicious, everyone was raving about the food. Again, service was excellent, we were made to feel so welcome and treat it like a home from home. The house is incredible, such character in every room, a real find and I would recommend it to anyone. Go and stay!!
