The villa, surrounded by grape vineyards and olive groves, is charming and comfortable, albeit somewhat rustic. The outside dining is dreamy on a summer night, save the vicious mosquitoes. You’ll be treated like family and visited by the farm dog and cats daily. If the chef is working, you’ll have excellent dinners, and the breakfasts are on point. The Aia is close to Italy’s stunning coastline and charming southern towns. You’ll need to hire a car to explore these places, but it is a great home base for day trips. If you’re looking to get an authentic Italian experience, I highly recommend a visit to The Aia.
