T'Gallants Guest House

I stayed two nights in this Victorian guest house. My room was spacious, with a large bed, sofa and two flat screen televisions. Modern decor, immaculately clean, good size en-suite bathroom. I had a marvellous view of Charlestown Harbour, which is often used for TV filming, including the recent BBC Poldark series. There are usually a couple of historic ships moored there. Several pubs and restaurants are found around the harbour, and a couple of small craft / art shops. There is though no convenience store/ mini market in Charlestown, so I recommend dropping in a supermarket when you drive through the very nearby St Austell for any essentials shopping. Nearby sites of interest include the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and the fishing villages of Mevagissey and Fowey. Plus walking along the glorious Cornish coastline. The guest house is run by the nearby Rashleigh Arms pub, which is where you check in, and where breakfast is served. I had a lovely time. This a great base for exploring a wonderful part of Cornwall.
