Sandcastle Beachfront Motel

We love staying here the only negative is there isnt enough parking spaces.

The Sandcastle is not fancy or elegant but it is a great place to visit the coast.  The Sandcastle has direct access to the beach with great unobstructed views.   The staff was great and unobtrusive.  We love the Sandcastle.

Our room on ground floor had direct beach access.Listening to the ocean was music to our ears.

I seriously love this place but they are in the midst of what looks like remodeling rooms so it was a bit busy with construction but my room was not near and didn’t really hear them. I seriously cannot get over the views the room provided and definitely will be coming back to this hotel.

Very nice we only had problem with the people directly above us  but it had nothing to do with the overall company or hotel nice view definitely will be coming back

What a coastal gem! The room was spacious and clean. Right on the beach experience, especially at high tide your room is right above a seawall.  Such easy access to the beach as well.  The pool was nice and warm, the hot tub was nice as well.  My family was very happy with their stay and we look forward to booking here again very soon! We also liked the location as it seemed to be pretty in the middle of a lot of the things to do in the City.  Recommended for families! :)

Nice place to stay, loved the location. Nice and clean and quiet.

I needed to get away as my mom just passed away. So hubby and I spent 4 days and 3 nights here.  Just what I needed to get back on track. The views are amazing and the sound of the waves crashing at night are just so calming. The coast is the best place to get rejuvenated.

Loved the room i was just what i asked for.Easy beach access could see the beach from our bed. It was beautiful. Hot tub was great we didn't get in the pool so i can say anything about that but it looked well kept just like the hot tub!!!  Front desk was super nice We Will definitely stay again here again.

Right on the beach!  No elevators so if you have trouble climbing stairs take the 1st floor.  You still have unrestricted views of the ocean.  Hot tub and pool provide towels.  Room was clean, staff was friendly.  Parking is a bit cramped.  The fireplace was amazing after a cold late walk on the beach.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights to celebrate our marriage after he proposed in front of the sandcastle on the beach a couple years ago. We loved it the first time we stayed, and we loved it this time. You can’t beat the views, the easy access to the beach. We love that they have a pool and hot tub, with windows overlooking the ocean. Our only complaint is the parking, there is overflow parking across the street, which isn’t bad, but several times during our stay people parked over the lines, in the already tight parking area, making it impossible for more cars to park, when there could have been 2-3 more spaces if cars had parked properly. The staff is friendly, the fridge and freezer in the room are a nice size, and the fireplace is cozy. Just be careful with the soda machine, it stole a couple bills from us. Overall wonderful stay! We won’t stay anywhere else in LC.

I have stayed here quite a few times in the past. This time I noticed painting had been done in one of the 2 rooms I get. Had nice set of pictures on the wall. The carpeting was nice as well. Love the big window to watch the ocean, see whale spouts and all the many people who do things like shore fishing and surfing. The bed was actually comfy and had 3 pillows per bed. Love that. The kitchenette portion was lovely with a decent sized table and chair. The price is standard for the area.

Right on the beach with amazing panoramic views of the pacific. I like to park up and have a few drinks so I want bars and restaurants in walking distance. There are no bars and only one Mexican restaurant nearby…so my suggestion….take food and drink with you, buy a bundle of firewood from the hotel reception and light a fire on the beach….wish I had known this was an option before hand so I hope I’m helping someone….

The Sandcastle was wonderful! Our room was very clean and fairly up to date. We loved the patio with beachfront views and the extra room. The pool was warm in temperature inside a comfortable, clean and beautiful space! Great place to stay with kids, would highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again, the location can’t beat!!

The property was nice. When I had a problem with the room, I was able to change rooms. The man at the front desk was great. The building is old, but well maintained. The access to the beach is perfect and to see the ocean from out room was breathtaking. My neice and i really enjoyed out stay, felt safe and the room was very clean. I would recommend.

Every thing was amazing. The view was breathtaking. I don’t know if I was excited or emotional or what but when I walked through the room to open the sliding glass doors with the ocean steps away I actually cried. I couldn’t have asked for a better view. Left the door cracked at night and fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Absolutely amazing. The staff was amazing for the most part. I loved the gentleman in the office and even had help looking for something I.ln the pool.  The very young lady in the office early morning was not so friendly. Like at all.  She made me feel a little uncomfortable.  Other than that if you are thinking of doing it, just do it!!! You won’t regret it !!

So amazing

This motel is older,  modest & no frills.  But it was clean, very comfortable beds, small kitchenette with refrigerator, dishware,  microwave & coffee pot with coffee, and a nice working fireplace.  When they said on the beach, they weren't joking! Every room has a balcony 9 steps from the sand.  Throughly enjoyed sitting on our deck and listening to the waves. Not walkable to restaurants,  but a short 5 - 10  minute  drive. Please note, there is no elevator and 3 stories. Request 1 st floor if you have any mobility issues. 
Also, there is no A/C .. at first it worried us, but just leaving the slider open at night, cooled it right off. Parking is somewhat limited, but overflow is just across the street. Easy! We will return. 
Good review especially because of beach location!
