Romance Hills Hotel

The views are magnificent, across the valley to the temple opposite. The location itself is a little out of the center, but we preferred it, slightly quieter and only a 5 minute tuktuk ride away. 
Ranji and his team are great, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A great place to stay.

Just now we checkout and they treat us very well and they upgrade our room as well. The location is really amazing and we had luxurious breakfast in the beginning of new year. I really appreciate best service of Mr. Ranjith. He gave more valuable service for the price. I recommend this as best place to stay and spend your leisure to great memorable fun.

Visited in August for four nights. The owner Ranjith and his team are very friendly and helpful, always taking care of your needs and inquiring if everything is OK. The room (606) was comfortable, the bed cosy enough that we always wanted to sleep in, helped by the AC working well too. The bathroom is decent too, and the hot water comes well after a few seconds (we were told about this at check-in, to open the tap and let it flow for a bit). The view is great, especially from the restaurant on the top level where you can see mountains and greenery, punctuated by the occasional building.
The food is good too. We enjoyed our breakfast, particularly the eggs were done well, and had lunch and dinner once. The Nasi Goreng was particularly nice with plenty of prawns and chicken, and the single portion was easily enough for two people. Their soups are well made too. The owner's wife does the cooking and does it well.
Cleanliness is good too. They are always cleaning and mopping the public areas and we requested room cleaning and bed linen change on the second day which they did very effectively.
Overall, had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely return.

try to get their for the festival in August its amazing. 

The room was squeaky clean, the staff was super helpful and friendly. You can chill out on pne pf the comfy sofas outside yoor room. The staff can arramge a taxi or a  tuk tuk  once you ask them to do so. The food was nice.

What an amazing place! Initially we thought we were a little too far out of Kandy city centre but when we saw the view, the peace and quiet, the room we knew we had made an excellent choice!
The staff went out of their way to give us a great experience. They organised us a fantastic Day trip around Kandy with one of their staff in their Tuk Tuk who took us to places that aren’t usually visited by tourists!  They then helped us arrange a day trip to Sigriya with a driver called Champi who was also fantastic. Really great guy and full of information and great chat! 
Even though it’s a short 7-8mins trip into  Kandy, the views and peace and quiet really make up for it. We were so delighted with our stay and wished we could have stayed on for longer! Food was fantastic and massive portion sizes, excellent breakfasts to start the day and they even packed up what I couldn’t eat so I could have it on the train to Ella.
The WiFi wasn’t great but did force us to have a digital detox so wasn’t a huge deal!

Very spacious and clean room with a million dollar view over Kandy. Our room came equipped with lazy chairs on the balcony overlooking into the mountains. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only downside was breakfast was quite average but reasonable for price paid

We’ve visited the place recently and stayed only one night. It was short we had a very calm and comfortable stay after a long journey. The view is mesmerizing. They have nice rooms and we went for a cheapest one but still was very cozy and comfortable. This place is very good for a couple specially if they are on honeymoon. 

Owners are very friendly and supportive. We didn’t get to have any meal as they were closed due to COVID. However, they had a nice restaurant on the top floor with the lovely view. 

A/C, fan and hot water was working fine. WiFi is also not bad.

The view is among the most amazing I've seen at a hotel for this price range. You eat the breakfast upstairs towards this breathtaking view of the longest river in Sri Lanka and the mountains.

The owner Ranjith is caring and is highly motivated to please his guests. Ask for his vegetarian sandwich, it's delicious!

Hotel location and ambience are excellent. Rooms are neat and clean as are bathrooms. Only thing lacking is you have to walk and climb stairs to call for rok service as there is no bell or phone to call. Food is Bad. So better not to even try it.

The location is Amazing. At a great height and gives good view of the mountains and city. Rooms and bathroom were clean with toiletries. View from room window was nice and beautiful

Check in time was 2:30 PM, we reached at 3 PM, but room was not ready and we were asked to wait 10 minutes but instead we had to wait for 45 minutes. we were tired after a long drive and very much frustrated with this casual attitude of hotel staff. Also room was a little as it looked in photographs so it was congested.
