My husband, myself and our 2 dogs stayed. It was peaceful, cozy, spacious, there were intentionally laid out necessities, very soft cozy bed, the log cabin was very warm. I loved the key free access and wifi set up, easy to check in and out.

My winter “get-a-way” landed me in Canmore Alberta, this was my first trip to the area, about an hour and, a bit drive from Calgary. Approaching Canmore as we got closer to the foothills of the gigantic mountains it was just breath taking to see the snow-covered mountain tops, and the tree lines that run alongside them and up them as well. We stayed at one of the many condo resorts, in the Harvie Heights district, the condominium was two floors with a balcony that gave us a beautiful view of the Rockies “ a spectacular sight in the morning” also a back patio with chairs to leisure around outside, a warming fireplace, and equipped with all the appliances, and furniture’s as if you never left your own place. I felt at home in this setting and, safe environment, I really liked that you had to key in a password to enter the condominium as opposed to a card reader. Additionally, there was a great family package that came with our stay, which allowed us to use the local recreational facilities such as swimming rock climbing and snow sledding, exercise room, and many more. Centre town is where you can find all the amenities one needs, the surrounding area is load with bike trails, walking and hiking trails, as well as a helicopter service that you can take which fly’s over the entire area, giving you a broader birds eye view of everything. I recommend the Grizzly Paw, and The Wood restaurants, top notch in my standards and great! Food, the people in town are generally friendly, and are understanding, even throughout this global pandemic, they also have great group packages, so if you plan on coming with friends you will be saving! I personally will pick this place over Banff “all day, every day”, Happy Trails and I hope you experience this for yourselves .

I decided to head out to the mountains after the first snowfall and stayed at these little gems. It was such a cool and inviting space. Everywhere you turn there’s a beautiful view to behold. Trees surrounding the property and quiet due to being just outside of the town. It’s so serene and magical. The cabins are antique style and reminded me of the newest comforts with an old flair of style. Very comfortable sleep and awesome beds. I felt like I slept very soundly when I woke up to the fresh mountain air. The owners are new and I have had a great experience at their cabins in Sorrento so I decided to try out their cabins here. Very pleased with everything and the extra touches that make it feel like a 5 star resort. 
So much to do in and around this area and there is fresh spring water just a 5 minute walk away! It’s such an amazing place to be. Everything you need is just a few min to town. We had an amazing trip to the mountains due to this place, thanks for the warm and wonderful accommodations! 
Also... They mentioned having igloos and lots of lights this winter. So I can’t wait to come back with friends and family and have a Hot Choclate by the fire or stay in an igloo while enjoying the mountains again!

From the description and exteriors, we were expecting something more cabinlike; the interior, however, was more of a studio apartment. For some this might be an unwelcome surprise; but for us decadent bougie types emerging from a blanketless, bathroomless KOA cabin, we couldn't be happier. Kitchen, grilling station, comfortable bed, close to Banff without Banff prices.

Just completed a 2 night stay with my husband. We were in need of a retreat for a a couple days and this cabin was the perfect spot. The staff we dealt with ahead of time was lovey and accommodating. 

This was exactly what we needed! Super cozy and felt like you were lost in the cabin in the woods. The weather also cooperated nicely by trying to snow us in which made it feel extra cozy. 

We had a 2 bedroom cabin with a living room and kitchen. The living room had a fire burning stove (our favorite feature). The bedrooms are super tight but the bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable! Very quite as well.

Our only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that we feel some easy updates would make it much nicer. The furnace is in the living room and looks like it’s from the Middle Ages (although it worked great). And some general tidying up of the property.  Also, it’s across the highway from Canmore and any hiking or cross country ski areas. Would have been nice to have things to do just outside the cabin. 

We would (and probably will) stay here again.

My husband and I stayed for three nights.  Comfy bed and clean , cozy cabin.  Manager was nice and friendly.  Great place to relax.  Was a bit warm due to hot weather and to much smoke in air so didn’t want to open windows much.  Would definitely stay again.  Great location close to Canmore and Banff.

These affordable little cabins are fun to stay in. Get a real Canadian experience and stay in these little gems. The young fella that takes care of these cabins is doin a great job. They are clean and have everything ya need to cook your own meals and such. Slept like a baby 👍

We spent 2 separate weeks here and loved it despite the unseasonal snow in September. The cabins are very rustic, but provide everything that you need including a full bathroom and kitchen and we were very warm and cosy. If you are used to posh hotels they won't be for you, but as caravaners we loved it. The position is perfect and close to Canmore and far enough from the highway not to bother us with noise. If you want a self catering base for doing the Banff national park, Kananaskis etc and don't mind rustic then this may be for you.

We had a 4 night stay in Chalet 17, very pleased to note that we had the largest window which gave us a lovely view of the mountains. The kitchenette was well stocked with all the basics, there was also a microwave, fridge/freezer and full size stove. Our cosy cabin was warm and comfortable, the only negative was a lack of drawers for our clothing so we could not unpack!

Peaceful 3 Night Stay

Mountain getaway 

I stayed in Parkgate Chalet this July with my husband and 8 month old baby. The cabin was very small and cozy. It was clean and had all the essentials. The location is very near to Canmore and 20 minutes from Banff. We had a nice time. However when we tried to sit outside in the patio (after our little boy slept) we found the patio was unclean and needed some fixing (it was broken in few places and nails were out which was quite dangerous). Also the chairs needed cleaning. Another drawback were the mosquitoes. We used some bugs spray which worked for an hour or so. Overall we had a good time inside the cabin but didn’t enjoy much the outside.
