Great location in lively neighborhood. Very friendly and helpful staff. Super clean and comfy room. Will definitely return.

Location was great:The famous bazaar was 8 min away to the left of the property and there's a metro station nearby as well. To the right u just walk 3 min to the nearest tram that can take u to Alsancak or u can walk for max 7 min to arrive to a very nice college style neighborhood.It reminded me of New York honestly.Room was extra clean and facilities are great. The receptionists were more than perfect and helpful and polite gentlemen. All in all perfect hotel.

A small, but functional room. Breakfast buffet is good. The hotel is a bargain, close to the Cankaya metro station.

Booked by low price, central location and description, so we were very pleasantly impressed by the efficient welcome and check-in on arrival, mid-afternoon, and to find impeccably clean, neat rooms. We enjoyed our cup of tea with the kettle provided, and the minibar offerings were very good (even if not used!) and noted the restaurant offered orders if required. The optional buffet breakfast gave us an excellent choice. However, it was a nice walk to the Kordon and Alsancak dining areas, very close to the tramway, so we enjoyed our 24 hours sight-seeing in Izmir thoroughly.  Only slight drawback is it is in a very quiet area at night, being in a busy shops area by day.  Of course, parking in Izmir is an issue, but Reception were very helpful directing us to safe paid parking. Giving friends the hotel name!

A great base for exploring Izmir.

Everything was great, but the parking was miserable. The street the hotel is on closes at 10AM and opens at 6PM. God forbid you want to stay in late and get sleep, you're locked in until 6PM.I was coming back around 2AM once my business was finished and there were no parking places in front of the hotel left. Couple of nights I was told to park in front of the businesses and nothing would happen as long as I was able to leave before 10am. Unfortunately, the business owners there were less then cordial and tore into me for parking there. There's a nearby parking area, but they charge ridiculous prices, and there's no discount for parking there because of the hotel.Beautiful hotel and great staff if you don't have a car.

Beautiful, but.....

I stayed at this hotel to stay in Izmir. I was a little nervous because it was my first time there, but the hotel staff were really kind and helpful. When I asked questions about things I didn't understand, they kindly explained them to me. It was clean and everything about the hotel was perfect. I'll say it again, the hotel staff are wonderful. I think this is a hotel where foreigners can stay with peace of mind. I'm really grateful to the hotel staff. Thank you.

Great stay!

Great location in a buzzing local area near shoreline harbour with local shops and near metro station and easy 15 minute walk into Konak which is a vibrant hub for eateries and local sights like clock tower. Room was lovely, clean and with a lovely bathroom. Staff very friendlyBuffet breakfast is fantastic in a nicely decorated modern dining room.Tip: ask for a room with a front view as otherwise you have a view of the side of a building and air conditioning units.

Great value modern hotel with lovely breakfast

Tried to book online which failed due to the agent not accepting cards so just turned up! 
Night staff very helpful and welcoming. Paid cash as requested. Room on 3rd floor, lift would have health and safety in the UK running for the rule book but perfectly acceptable for those of a sensible disposition! 
The room itself warm clean, bed comfortable and warm, plenty of hot water. Minor critisism would be towels were only bath towels rather than bath sheet but they were clean too.
Tea and coffee were free. Wifi good access. As this was very much a last minute stay I did not have a phone charger with me so reception lent one to give the phone a boost. 
Breakfast was an option but we did not try this instead choosing to walk to a small cafe to eat. 
We would have no hesitation in returning. A very reasonably priced hotel and recommended.

Emergency overnight stay

It's a nice place to stay some nights for discovering the centre of Izmir. We stayed just one night in an family room with three beds. It was totally enough and really nice bathroom for that cheap price! The guys at the reception were super kindly! They organised a transport for us to Özdere and it was much cheaper than the taxi! But it's not a place were you should stay a week :)

Easily reachable with metro or local bus, located in a bussy area full of caffes and shops. The hotel is very nice and clean, room spacious and comfortable, staff wqs always very helpful and welcoming. We spent there 3 nights and decided to prolong of one more night since we really enjoyed both the city and hotel. Recommended!

Marina Hotel is in a convenient location just off one of the city center's main streets; near to Basmane train station and just a 10 minute walk to the bazaar and the Kordon. The hotel staff are very helpful. The cleaning staff work very hard. The breakfast was satisfactory.I would give this hotel a rating of 10 except for the bathroom. It is the tiniest I have ever seen and there is no enclosure for the shower, therefore everywhere gets wet. It was very uncomfortable to use the bathroom; this was in the single room.Other than that I recommend Marina Hotel.

The staff is so nice!! Thank you for the service.  I really enjoyed the stay there. Room is quite silent. The hotel is next to the grand Bazaar and the famous clocktower. You can walk it in a few minutes. I didn't expect a breakfast with my stay so i was very surprised it was included☺️ Nice little breakfast buffet and nice ladies who take care of it.
