La Dépendance

La Dependance is located just across the road from the world famous Fondation Beyeler Art Gallery in a quint village on the northern outskirts of Basel. We reached the B&B by taking the fast tram (LRT) from Central Basel via its 2 train stations to the front door; getting off at the Foundation Beyeler stop. It is well served by good roads and there is secure parking. We stayed in beautifully appointed suite which occupies a small house in the garden. Breakfast is provided in the main house meters away. The main house has been perfectly restored and Herve and his partner have impeccable taste. Everything was spotless on of the highest quality. Fresh flowers from the garden were in our room on arrival. Our suite was very peaceful. We had internet in our room. Breakfast is served in lovely dining room and was of the highest quality with a good selection of thoughtfuly chosen treats. The garden has a summer kitchen and a plunge pool available for the guests' use. We felt and were made to feel totally at home. Herve recommended restaurants in the village, Basel and even in other cities in Switzerland. He suggested sites in Basel to visit and his recommendations were execellent. We will make this a destination in the future.
