Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa - All Inclusive

This is an exceptional hotel. I never thought I would be somebody who returns to the same hotel most years but why would you risk your money on somewhere you don’t know when you have found somewhere so good? The facilities, food and drink are excellent. And the staff are so friendly and work so hard. Finding faults with a hotel like this feels like nitpicking but there is some room for improvement: 1. Some of the staff are almost too efficient. On numerous occasions we were asked for our plates or glasses well before we were finished. One time, a staff member took my sunglasses and half-full drink while I stepped away from the table for less than a minute. 2. The towel service is inefficient; on more than one occasion we tried to replace towels and they weren’t available. 3. Making a reservation at the restaurants is challenging. We stayed for 8 nights but could only visit 3 of the 4 special restaurants due to availability, and none in the first 3 days. 4. The entertainment is good, particularly the singers, but the quizzes were very disappointing. One was focused completely on information about the staff which meant every answer was a guess, and one was all about the film Frozen, excluding 75% of the 100+ participants. Why not cover a range of topics to ensure everyone feels included? Overall we had a great stay and hope to visit again, although the price goes up a lot each year.
