Hotel Villa Rosa Riviera

Lovely hotel! I chose this hotel as a way to relax after my 11 day bike trip. It was great. The lobby, breakfast room and outdoor deck were clean, welcoming and nicely decorated. The rooms were clean, with great linens. I appreciated the side balcony to enjoy the view of the ocean and street happenings. The AC worked well. The rooms were quiet. The room was not overly spacious. The plug ins for phones, watches, headphones and all of the other items that require recharging were plentiful. The bathroom was updated with beautiful marble. Water temperature and pressure was great. The hotel lets you borrow bikes (beach cruisers, one speed) for free and it is easy to access the beach bicycle path or the path that leads to the town centre. The old town is within walking distance. Several restaurants, small shops and a grocery store are within walking distance. The hotel has a dedicated beach area, but the public beach access is across the road so it is easy to stroll down the beach. It is my understanding that, although there are many private/pay to use beach spaces, you can still walk through the area to access the beach. The breakfast included with the room was excellent, It was both buffet style with a great selection of fruit, cereals, juices, milk, yogurt, pasteries sandwiches, eggs and bacon. If you wanted something specific, a menu was available. The service at breakfast was friendly and efficient. The front desk staff were excellent and patiently answered our questions.
