Hotel Parrini 

I love this cozy hotel, it’s right on the beach of the beautiful Tuscan town of Follonica, the sea is splendid and the atmosphere is comfy . There’s an elevator that takes you from your room directly to the beach, equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. The rooms are simple but have everything you need for a comfortable stay, including A/C (thank goodness!), shower and hand soap dispensers (excellent quality, I must admit). From the restaurant staff to the cleaning ladies, everyone is adorable and sweet. They went on a spree to the local pharmacy to get me a medication I urgently needed. Lastly, a huge kudos to the chef: he’s very talented, every meal is prepared with the utmost care, full of flavor and prepared with local ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil, pecorino cheese, local fish, fresh pasta, a bounty of fresh vegetables to create a custom made salad, cured meats like Tuscan ham and salami, homemade jams to accompany etc. Weight gain is assured but hey, life’s short and one or two weeks won’t kill ya :)) Thank you owners and staff at Hotel Parrini, much love
