Hostal Restaurante El Mero

Nice quiet hotel close to the beach. The owners were very nice and helpful and when they noticed one of our party had mobility problems, they offered her a room on the ground floor. Both our rooms were very clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom had a shower. Spanish breakfast was 3 Euro's each for coffee and toast, which was taken in the resaurant, we had evening meal once and it was excellent, had the 'catch of the day' which was lovely. The restaurant seems very popular with locals, which is good to see. The nearby beach is spectular, about a 15 min walk, very windy though, El Palmar beach is about a 10 minute drive away, but well worth a visit. The owners also let us use the swimming pool at the Casa, which was fantastic as we had it to ourselves and is about a 3 minute walk away. Fantastic location for visiting other towns, like Vejer de la Frontier, really recommend a trip to Los Canos de Meca, it had a really laid back, hippy vibe to it !
