Flora Bay Resort

Wonderful place. Enjoyed ourselves very much and so relaxing. Would go back any time. So nice to hear the waves at night.  Good getaway with family. So close to everything. Good restaurants as well. Flora Bay gardens are beautiful kept and accommodation is clean and wonderful. The management staff are so friendly.

Love the view,the location. Good to have your self drive vehicle as this is on highway.However I have travelled through Uber. This is a very big property and we simply love the view,the ambience.
There is no restaurant I found however within 5 minutes distance there are few restaurents with different cuisine.
If you want to plan for the offbeat location,this is the one. We are honeymooners from India and love the hospitality.
Tips:-Do not carry much luggage as from the reception you need to carry the. There is a porter though.

We have been regulars at Flora Bay for a few years always returning for their Winter specials. It is amazing to be just a few meters from the waters edge. Definitely worth trying them out. There are lots of stairs down to the flats.

Nice view,superb location

Beauty and tranquility just a few meters away from the waters edge.

The view is absolutely stunning, but unfortunately that is the only positive.
The unit is very dated from the furniture to the overall accessories and appliances.
and it was not sparkly clean or smelled nice on arrival
The balcony banister of unit 3 is broken, tied together with wire which is extremely dangerous if not noticed and it was not pointed out to us.
The balcony sliding door is very worn, it`s a struggle to open and close it
The bedding is old, quite used and has a dingy smell including the upstairs bedroom
Not fitted sheets, so during your sleep if you move around, be prepared to be lying on the bare mattress
The stove plates are so badly worn, the black of the plates is nearly completely gone 
Bathroom cabinet is loose, if you open it, the entire cabinet comes forward
There is no soap dish, toothbrush holder and one towel rail in the one shared bathroom bathroom for a  4 people
The Kitchen cloths are very used, definitely needs an upgrade 
Had we not asked for more towels after WE checked the unit, they had only provided 2 bath towels for 3 guests.
In summary, the unit we stayed in (family suite) needs an upgrade.

Only the view

Location and ocean view spectacular but rooms need some attention. No additional wall plugs so bring extension leads for each room. Cleaning service and WiFi pathetic. Cleaning lady came and left the main bedroom in a mess. WiFi was cut off after day one and we received a message stating 'you have reached your monthly limit' yet reception said it was a technical error which cannot be resolved.

Great location but poor services

Our first visit at Glorabay Resort. Agree witb previous tripadvisors regarding beautiful view as location is good. We had an unfortunate incident that happened when we were out of our apartment, the staff had access the apartment as they needed to refresh towels, we discovered that my husband's pair of shoes were stolen. Our access card too dod not work where i had to call reception to assist and waited 20minutes for assistance whilst we waited in the rain. One of the single beds in the room was elevated on  half a brick.

With this id like to inform all to take note of the following.

Bedding : Bedding is torn, stained.. and not washed. Our base wase smaller than the matras. 
 
Braai facilities: Its rusted through, grid packed with malt and rust drain is blocked with used charcoal .the braai and grids were attached with wire.

Floors : Floors are sticky ! Not washed and black feet within minutes is guaranteed .

Windows and walls: running marks on windows and walls of some kind. Honeymoon sweet eeeeeeU! Grose!

Ethics : management does not react to any issues. They dont take ownership. We were simply told by management that we cant be assisted simply because they are attending a movie . (This was on an emergency number) . We were also told that whatever happens over a weekend they will not assist.

We were told by (Rageni ) the managers PA to tel the other guests keep their base music to a minimum after we informed her that their music played till 2am that morning,we told her that it cannot be expected of us as customers,she did not care.

Safety hazard: There are holes in the ceiling in which downligher lights are installed and birds are nesting in there which could cause te place to burn down.

Beds ,brass facilities ,hygiene ,floors, towals ethics ,management ,noise polution ,safety hazards ,customer care.
