Cannon Mountain View Motel

    Went on a beautiful Autumn day, Bluebird skies, no wind, 60 degrees, and peak foliage. You could see 75 miles in all directions!!! I am afraid of heights but it was great! The peak of Mt. Cannon has trails all around it w no rails so be careful. The stunning vistas are amazing. SOOO WORTH IT!!!!!

We've been staying at the CMV for many years. It's a good value. The rooms are not fancy but very clean and comfortable. If you're looking for the Ritz this isn't it but it's a great place in an ideal location. The restaurant is great. Very good selection with excellent flat bread pizza and great specials. The bar is well stocked and Jesse (bartender) knows how to mix a good drink. Yvonne and Ray are great hosts and will bend over backward to make sure you are comfortable. It's a very informal atmosphere where you can go and just relax. We've met a lot of local people and have made some good friends there.

We found this place quite by accident and decided to give it a try. It's the only place we've stayed since. We highly recommend it.

This is about the friendliest place I've been to. All the help Is like family and the owners Ray and Yvonne mingle with everyone. I've been here about many times now since last summer....Love it and prices are VERY REASONABLE

Great Place

Great getaway and right off route 93 North

Hum ..already did and it gone in days..did it again and then gone..here I go again..asked for clean linen on day 1 cuz hair found in bed..I was greeted with unfolded winked linen to do myself..next day we wanted to check out ..office closed. Waited for maid service till 3 ..same girl who bartendedo night before and came out of room next to us ..we after seen all she did was make the bed..dirty towels still on floor and dirty cups from coffee..we checked out without a refund..went down the street to eat and took out my med box (I have kidney disease) and saw all my med for the week we're empty..everyone!! We had to return home! I hope she puked her brains out!!! Let's see how long this stays POSTED!! No joke here..

Terrible

Before I begin delving into the many many issues with this motel I will say that the owner seems to be a nice man (although he greeted me with beer in hand and the office smelled like weed).  This motel should be brought to the attention of the town inspector.  It is in dire need of renovations.  The mold issues, holes in walls and ceilings, door locks that don't work, exposed electrical wiring, the list could go on and on.  The pool has moss growing in it and hasn't been maintained in a very long time.  The actual office/restaurant building is in horrific condition as well and looks to be a danger to any intoxicated patron leaving their very loud bar atmosphere.  I could see it being very popular with the biker crowd, although they are even smart enough to not stay at the actual motel.  The motel website lists rooms with air conditioning, new beds, etc. none of this is factual-at least not in rooms 15 or 17.  I realize in the peak of the season, the owners can rent their motel rooms for whatever price they see fit. Be warned, it is a roach infested mess, and I am a very easy person to please.  Would not suggest wasting your vacation funds to stay here, look elsewhere.
