Villa Orchidea

Guiseppe and his family and staff did a great job making us feel welcome and taken care of. The rooms were bigger than typical Italian rooms and the beds were super comfortable. The whole place was very clean. The staff greeted my son by name and with a smile. We had planned to go different places for dinner but ended up eating dinner at the hotel restaurant all four nights and even two of the lunches. Everything was good, pasta, pizza, antipasti, homemade wine, but every pasta dish we ordered was fresh and flavorful and delicious! They use the majority of produce from their own garden and the quality shows. The location is slightly up the hill from the blue flag beach, just enough to get some nice breezes. Excellent pool area. We visited in July 2020 so we were the only non-Italians there and it was a unique experience. I enjoyed the lively atmosphere both at the pool and at dinner. Highly recommended for a special small town Sicily experience, can't wait to come back! It was a typical small Italian breakfast, which was ok for us. The bathrooms/shower could maybe use a bit of updating, but not a major issue, everything worked as it should. That being said, it's great value and we will definitely return.
