40 reviewsGENERAL STUFF: Very close to Campotosto, this is an excellent place to stay, with Carlo the owner offering warmth, friendly greetings and sound advice for where to eat the best local famous pasta dishes such as the fantastic Amatriciana we had at a nearby trattoria. LOCATION: This lovely B&B is just 6 kms from the wonderful soft waters of Lake Campotosto; I know because I swam in it. Located on a quiet street, and it’s very secure as Carlo lives at the neighbouring premises. CLIENTELE AND WHEN TO VISIT: We had the place to ourselves and our visit was in early season June. ATMOSPHERE: Carlo, the owner is the one to thank for the atmosphere as he runs everything. He is on hand all the time with elbow grease, suggestions and maintenance where necessary. He said of himself as to his job description “I just work.” That he does and he keeps everything clean in this new bed and breakfast. They were completing the poolside paving of a newly completed decoratively shaped swimming pool. This would be a great place for children as Carlo showed us his mini farm which included Vietnamese pot bellied pigs, donkeys, goats and new puppies. DECOR: Everything is brand new. FOOD: We had a nice breakfast, and Carlo kindly gave us extra boiled eggs for our journey home in case we were hungry. WOULD WE RETURN? Yes.
