Me and my family where in Ferienpark Himmelberg in 2012. And it was great. Not so far from Trier and Idar oberstein. And the City Thalfang is very great... And we went to Luxembourg and also Rüdesheim and Bingen

My family has been going to this holiday resort since 2000. It is a great for large family's to go if you want a good trip in Hünsruck region and also to see the mosel and Rhein rivers.
And it is a short trip to Wasserbillig. Luxembourg.  And the oldest city in Germany. Trier

This is my 10th stay at the Himmelbery Apart-Hotels. The chaelt are always excellent and the whole site tidy and well maintained. Excellent food in the hotel. Loads to do for all the family in a magical forest setting.


We have met our friends here from Bavaria four times and have stayed in the same chalet bungalow. The view from the chalet across the fields and woods is very pleasant. The chalet itself is comfortable enough but the kitchen and shower room is now looking a little tired. Furniture, chairs, table and beds are all reasonably new. The tv is a new wide screen and an English news channel is available. We have only one mirror in the property which the ladies found a bit disconcerting.
The walk into Thalfang takes about fifteen minutes. There is the Norma supermarket there where one can have a coffee and a cake and purchase some wonderfully priced beer and wine. The best way to visit Trier is to take the bus, Robert Reisen run really comfortable buses, not like the ones in the UK. The price for a return ticket for four to Trier cost 22 EUROS. The buses run on time as well.
We are staying for two weeks this year because I think it is a long way to travel from the UK for just one week. Our milage was 380 from Aylesbury Buckinghamshire.
To sum up; the scenery is fantasic and the small villages are beautifully clean and well kept.
