Antica Tenuta Le Casacce

Staying for 3 nights with my mother and brother on winter time (January 2011). The owner greeted us like an old friend (after guiding us by phone so we can reach the hotel late at night). The room (an entire house actually!) is amazing, confortable, with everything you need to cook. They also provide a complimentary breakfast, left all nights at your kitchen, with homemade marmelade and cookies. They also offer dinner (with charge), a 3 course menu, that really worth the price. Enrico, the owner, is the masterchief, and explains all the dishes with such entusiasm! You can bring your wine (the ones that you bought during your day trip to nearby villas and vineyards). I hope to be back one day! Amazing place and staff!

I have always dreamed of a road trip through Tuscany and in August 2014 that dream came true. My 2 girlfriends and I meant to hotel-hop staying in a different place each night but after reading about Antica we decided to book for a week and keep as a base for last 7 days of our Italian getaway. It was incredibly cheap in comparison to shops & restaurants of Milan from where we came from. I cannot explain how amazing the location, the food, the staff, the views were. Kitchen staff didn't speak much English but that was great because I brushed up on my Italian. Also you could've ordered anything you wanted for breakfast on top of generous spread of basic foods that was offered daily. The evening FOUR course meal with seconds (I am not kidding, the chef would come out with a pan of pasta and add to your plate!) was 25Euro and wine was divine. The room we got was 3 times the size we expected, it was basically our own 2 bedroom apartment with an open plan kitchen, living/dining room and fireplace with a view of the valley to one side and gardens the other. A very placid donkey made for a novelty cock and did wake me up once at 7am but I was getting so much sleep and relaxation there that I didn't mind, I didn't want to sleep all day. The pool is big and with a vista over the valley, we never had a problem with getting loungers. We did alternate days of sightseeing local villages or just sitting by the pool, eating and drinking prosecco! I would thoroughly recommend this place to a couple, family or a group of girlfriends like us who want to go away and relax. The area is very remote and quiet but that's what's perfect about it. It was great for hikes too and if you got up early enough you could spot lots of wildlife! I would suggest if you're planning to lounge about, eat and drink independently from the B&B kitchen times, then venture out to make a bigger shop in a local supermarket where wine is much cheaper then in B&B. Overall I couldn't fault this place for anything. I would love to come back again! It was the perfect holiday.

Went to Podere Montale for a wedding and stayed 2 nights. Very good location with west facing sweeping view of Tuscan countryside. Accommodation was good/adequate but much use made of sofa beds which were not brilliant. The catering was very good for the wedding meal itself but average otherwise.  It's far from any airport but all the heart of Tuscany is, so be ready to drive. 

We stayed here for 2 nights and visited nearby villages as Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino. And then we returned to the oasis of tranquility. Great views, basic room and really awesome diners!! For €25 you get a 4 course meal consisting of local specialties. Highly recommended!

We spent three nights at the Antica Tenuta Le Casacce near Seggiano, where we rented a cottage which is actually the right hand side of the main house with the reception and breakfast room, terrace, etc.  The property is well situated down a stony track in the heart of the country and has many attractions.  We were very sorry to learn that the chef, who had been so promising, died a year ago, so our dinner on the night we arrived was not quite as wonderful as the brochure in our room had led us to expect.  The breakfasts were copious and it was nice to be able to load our trays and eat on the terrace, with its stunning views.  The pool is large and pleasant, a short distance from the main house over a large lawn, but right by the new bungalows.  We were happy to be where we were, rather than in one of these, as we like old character and don't mind things being a little the way they may have been in the olden days.  The shower-bathroom was modern and perfectly reasonably equipped, and we liked having a little bit of terrace outside our front door where we could sit out.  It was also nice to be on the ground floor, as we are getting old.  The staff were very friendly and very helpful.  My only advice to them would be to equip the kitchenette a bit better for self catering, with an electric kettle, some mugs and a couple more dinner plates.  I had brought my own matches, candles, tea towels, etc, but had to ask for coffee and tea bags. A little cafetière would have been nice as the coffee was in a packet.  What was extremely kind and much appreciated by us was that our laundry was done for free.  It would have been 5 euros, which we thought very reasonable, but no charge was made as it took a little while during a rainy spell.  We would go again!

It’s depends what you need.
This place which are described in comments Agritourist with restaurant and swimming pool, and garden is not exist – everything is on sale, there was terrible disappointment. 
But I can’t give negative opinion because apartment was ready for us, very clean and everything with that offer was ok and with beautiful view and that’s it. So we was travel almost 2500 km to see that place is on sale, big disappointment.
