My wife and I stayed at Norlande for three nights during a recent visit to Shetland. Amanda was a great host, welcoming us on arrival and filling us in on the amenities provided. Our room (Northern Lights) was simply stunning. Beautifully decorated, clean, and fantastically well-presented. Our four-poster bed was equally comfortable, and the bathroom was warm, and welcoming (something we needed after a long and stormy journey on the ferry!) Amanda gave us a few pointers as to things we could do during our visit, and provided some useful information about life in Lerwick when we asked about the town and surrounding areas. We spent most of the weekend out and about, at Bressay Up Helly Aa or mud plugging across the moors, and every time we returned to our room, it was spotlessly made up. The little hampers of food were lovely, and were a great way to start the day (and sometimes finish it). Overall, a fantastic place to stay with a lovely host. Highly recommended!
