Just visited for a week and stayed in the apartment Appaloosa - 2 adults and 2 kids aged 4 and 7 yrs. The place is very nice, beautifully located on a hill-top with view to Montalcino. Siena is 45 min and San Gimignano 75 min away. We were very happy to be able to use the swimming pool as the weather was very nice. The apartment easily fits four people and is decorated in a very authentical manner. What really makes a difference is the personal touch delivered by the host couple, Serena and Mario.....they did their outmost to make us feel welcome and spoiled us with home-baked cake, apricots from the garden and two very nice dinners in the 'gazebo'. For us, Agriturismo Quarantallina was a very good choice and it is best illustrated by our daughter's sadness when leaving..... Although it may be possible to find more posh agriturismo in Tuscany, the location and personal touch makes Quarantallina special.
