Agriturismo La Galizia

Given that it is not in a tourist hotspot, this is a very lovely spot with extraordinarily accommodating staff. When we arrived as a family group of nine, they let us check in early and take over the outdoor tables for drinks. They opened up the kitchen and bar for us, which was wonderful given that several of the group had come straight from Malpensa. The following night we had a really excellent meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was not gargantuan but had great croissants/cornettos, scrambled eggs made in small batches so they didn’t get cold, yogurt, juices, and bread. Grounds are lovely with water views and beautiful trees. Only downsides were I thought the mattresses weren’t all that comfortable, and apparently when the power goes out, as it did, a very bright evacuation light goes on. Then when the power comes back on, all the lights in the room come back on! I have to add, though, that I didn’t really wake all the way up and several others in our party didn’t either. Some were very wide awake after this. One room had no hot water in the morning and one had no water, just because of the way the water is brought in. There was a huge rainstorm that night, so this probably doesn’t happen all that often. I would stay here again if in the area.
