Red Carpet Inn & Suites New Cumberland

I often take a room at the Red Carpet Inn. It looks like they've reduced their rates from last year. I believe they are more interested in hosting customers than keeping up with the trends of posh hotels, levels of poshness that costs them customers -- and their rates have become affordable to more spending budgets. They also offer weekly rates lower than all hotels except one in Dauphin and Cumberland counties. The morning continental breakfast (cereals, coffee, breads) is nice for the early birds. Good coffee. The coffee is one of my criteria for judgment ha ha ha. The weather is cold this week. The heater works so well that I had to turn it off or open the door. I would imagine the air conditioning works equally effectively. Smoking rooms are still available. Rooms are differentiated as Smoking and Non-Smoking. If someone were to rent a non-smoking rooms that smells like smoke, they can blame the previous tenants (not the hotel). In that event the hotel staff, who are nice, would likely be willing to reassign a room. In summary, the staff and management appear to offer more hospitality at lower rates than competitors, and while the hotel might not offer all the amenities, as hotels go, they're outpricing their competitors.
