Just spent a love weekend with my family at the 5 bells which is now rented out privately for small party’s it sleeps up to 20 people the bedrooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable.
You cater for yourselves bringing your own food and drink, the kitchen is well equipped and you have two bar areas and for the kids there is table football and air hockey and there is a pool table and the use of a hot tub and sauna (although the sauna wasn’t working) 
For disabled people there is an annexe which  has 2 bedrooms so it caters for everyone 
Would recommend the 5 bells inn to everyone

We just got back from the Five Bells Inn in Upwell, Norfolk and it was absolutely fantastic. The property was a working pub until Covid but has now been turned into a rentable property by the owners. The pub itself retains a lot of its original character but has been smartened up to appeal to a wide audience. Whether you like pouring your own beers and playing pool, or relaxing in the hot tub next to the fire pit in the private courtyard, this property has something for everyone. With a fully equipped kitchen and ample eating space in the dining room or in various booths and alcoves, your stay can also be a celebration of food. For this we enlisted the help of Purple Plum Catering, who were excellent. They cooked us full English breakfasts and a wonderful 4 course dinner, setting up the table and clearing it all away after. If you're the type who gets itchy feet, there are several good walks along the river to explore, and you're not even that far away from the north Norfolk coast. At the end of an exhausting day fall back into a comfortable bed with soft pillows in one of the nicely appointed en-suite bedrooms, either above pub or in the adjacent annex block. And despite being next to the main road we found the whole property to be very well sound proofed. The owners, Lou and Chris, and the manager Tracey are all very helpful and were able to assist with arrangements both before and during our stay. We will certainly return to the Five Bells Inn as soon as we can.

We stayed here for one night and found the staff very helpful and friendly. 
The room was lovely and clean, bed was comfy. Decent breakfast. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to friends. 

We have just moved to Outwell and we decided to try the 5 Bells. We were met with a very warm welcome and a very clean establishment. We had a meal and the food was served perfect. Will definitely be going again. Maybe our new regular for a drink as well as meal.

Place was amazing to stay lovely room spotlessly clean. Was a pleasure to walk into and fall into bed after a long journey from Scotland. Staff were lovely very helpful and friendly. Breakfast both mornings was lush. Thank you to the ladies as they really could not of been any more friendly & helpful. 
Wil definitely be back highly recommend xx

5 bells inns is a warm and friendly country bed and breakfast. Great warming customer service. Modern rooms and very comfortable at affordable prices. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a country retreat or on business trip. We'll worth a visit. Hope to see you again soon

Food is absolutely amazing. Huge portion sizes catering for food intolerances was not an issue. Staff were lovely really welcoming. Definitely visit again.  If you are on a boat there is public mooring outside 

Just been for a lovely visit food was excellent service was too, a very nice pub serving a extensive menu and what we had was delicious and well priced will be back. Possibly the best around they offer over night stops and have good outdoor seating too seems to be dog friendly at least outside 

An old boozer that has been totally transformed. There is something really genuine about this place and it doesn't pretend to be something it's not. No poncey menus and/or outrageous prices - good, honest pub grub, well-cooked and generously served portion wise. The staff are helpful and friendly - particularly Tracy and Harriet - and the prices are more than fair. 

Our room was spotlessly clean and superbly decorated and although I tried I can't really find any faults. OK, maybe a little one - a bit unusual having to pick your breakfast the night before because by the time I woke up I actually fancied something else but no real issue while ONE slice of toast is a bit off perhaps. Why not a nice little rack of toast between two people? Feel bad about saying that BUT it's not meant as a criticism and we will be back. LOVED IT.

Me and my husband spent just the one night here at The 5 Bells,Colin and his staff were very helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived,room was lovely and clean and up to date, and very cosy and warm,bed was super comfortable,restaurant was busy and full all night,food was good and great value,as was the breakfast in the morning ,will definatly stay here again

Mums 94th birthday treat. Took mum, my daughter and grandkids for a pub lunch 
Service was first rate, food was first rate and the restaurant was spotless, decor fabulous. Really cannot fault the experience at all. Mums first trip out after a nasty fall so a lot hinged on this outing. Cannot give praise enough; well done and thank you

We have eaten here on a few occasions now - the menu is excellent with very generous portions - something for everyone. Food extremely tasty every time. Staff are welcoming and friendly and want you to enjoy your visit.
All round experience is great - don’t change anything as far as we are concerned. Looking forward to our next visit.
