Nicole and Malcolm make Craigmount so special. Book themed bedrooms to reflect Wigtown, and a lovely sitting room to read or eatch TV. Our double bedded room with ensuite overlooked the garden. The room was quite compact, and made more so by our largish suitcases. If you have big bags, perhaps book a family room. All the rooms are accessible via stairs. The pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked and wonderful. Dinner options in town or nearby were limited, except to drive, especially mid-week. Nicole offers a simple evening meal option of a choice of a few home cooked meals, to eat in the dining room. We had her delicious chicken curry one night. BYO drinks. Both Nicole and Malcolm were great sources of local information, and really helpful. Excellent place to stay.

Craigmount has got to be the best b&b i have stayed in. Spotlessly clean , great breakfast , wonderful views from bedroom. Nicole & Malcolm are very friendly & welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Will definitely stay here again.

This was a great expierence. The room was exceptionally clean and the owners were some of the nicest people i've ever met in my travels.  Would highly recommend to family and friends.  I will be back.

Excellent place to stay.

Liked the vegetarian breakfast, as it was all bought especially for those not wanting/eating meat.The owners were very friendly and gave us some brownies as we left for the journey. We are looking forward to trying them later.Would recommend as handy for Wigtown and all the lovely bookshops.A very friendly and inviting place, and would go back when out that way again.

We stayed here for a night as we were in the area looking at a litter of pups. Our Satnav took us to the back of the property but a quick phone call to Nicole had us in the right place. She was waiting for us at the door which was lovely and went through all the Covid protocols in place which certainly reassured us. As the closest restaurant was closed that evening, Nicole set a table for us in the dining room to eat the tasty local fish and chips we brought back from the nearby village. There is also a sitting room to use with TV and books.We had a double room which had everything we could want. The bed was comfortable and we both slept well.Breakfast was fantastic. We preordered the night before and there was so many options. Definitely something for everyone including vegan brown sauce!Both Nicole and her husband made us feel very welcome. Ours was a last minute trip but we’ll definitely be back. The surrounding area is stunning and somewhere we are keen to explore.

A fantastic stay in a lovely location. If you like books you will love the local shops. The hosts were friendly and really helpful, they even organised a table for us at a local restaurant. The room was delightful and as described and breakfast was perfect. Would definitely stay again if heading to Scotland.

Malcolm & Nicole are absolutely excellent hosts which also matches the standards found here; very clean & covid friendly. Although we had the small bedroom it met our requirements for size. Facilities in the room was enhanced by the addition of an information box with local 'things to do' along with a first aid kit & emergency sewing kit. Although it was our first stay here, it was noted that some of the other guests had stayed before, as we will when we return to the area.

Absolutely superb

Our stay, during Covid, was excellent. We were visiting friends in the area on our way home to Cambridgeshire from Scotland. The house is very clean, well organised and taking COVID restrictions very seriously. None of this hindered us too much and our hosts were friendly and helpful.We would definitely stat again.

Great stopover

We had a lovely time staying with Nicole and Malcolm! The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The room was extremely clean and well-equipped. Nicole cooked us  AMAZING scrambled eggs in the morning and even gave us chocolate brownies and two bottles of water to take away. We will definitely come back again!

This B & B is located in the beautiful and small town of Wigtown. There are many bookstores that invite you to browse.The house and rooms of the Craigmount B & B are beautiful and lovingly decorated. The breakfast offers everything you could wish for. Nicole and Malcom Court, you are lovely and wonderful hosts.We thank you for the wonderful stay in your B & B.

Gorgeous B&B in Wigtown

This was one of the best B&Bs we've come across. We felt comfortable and at home from the off. The room and the bed were comfortable, and so was the living room where we sat in the evening. Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and served us a brilliant breakfast, all with locally sourced products. The local area had a lot to offer - not just the bookshops we originally went for. We shall be back!
