Was there in July for 8 days out of the 8 days I only had about 10 hours sleep, the room was so hot it was like sleeping in a sauna, we hired a fan, while made it a little bearable, but the noise from the night club till gone 5 was not, managed to get an hour and half sleep then the builders came to put scaffolding up at 06.45 everyday. Weymouth is a very nice place to visit our driver Frank was great could not have wished for a better driver from alfa travel,I would recommend anyone to travel with Frank. Alfa needs to change this hotel, they will loose alot of customers if they don't, staff where great.

Just returned from a 4 night trip with coach firm Just Go.The hotel is dated but clean and the staff all helpful and friendly. The meals were good and plenty of choice,always had a fish, meat, salad and vegetarian dishes. Did not like having to ask for sauces eg mayo or brown sauce as they were kept in bowls and shared with guests and staff spooned the sauces onto your plate. There was entertainment in the bar every night which was enjoyable. The location of the hotel is central to the resort and close to the beach and shops. Unfortunately, as mentioned in other reviews the nights are spoiled by folk leaving night clubs in the early hours who consider it acceptable to shout, swear and fight outside the hotel. The resort is kept exceptionally clean by the council and perhaps they ought to tackle anti-social behavior as well!! Overall I would not hestitate to stay at this hotel again.

Friendly hotel

We stayed for a week with very littlw sleep due to the night club 2doors down and the rowdiness of patrrons, banging on anything they could bang on. police were called twice. Complained to the management but they just shrugged their shoulders and half heartedly offered to move us but nothing came of it. The manager was a bit like a little hitler and stood outside the kitchen door nudging the waiters whenever he saw the guests putting their cutlery down for them to remove their plates sometimes before the guest had finished, also there was no sauces on the table I asked for some tartar sauce when we had fish and chips only for the waiter to bring it in a small bowl and put the sauce on himself and then took  out it was not actually a Alfa Hotel. This is not made plain in the brochure. we also had to walk from the coach which had to park up on the sea front the hotel is in 2 parts the Fairhaven being the front view and the central which is inbetween 2 back streets not ideal for pensioners who are not as fit as others. Alfa client.

Not bad but! very disapointing

We stayed here for one night only. The hotel was clean enough and beds ok. Didn't stay to try food as left early next morning. There is a nightclub right next door to the hotel so was very difficult to get a good night's sleep. Parking is almost impossible at the hotel and the nearest we found was a good ten mins walk away. Your not far from the beach and shops about a five minute walk so location isn't too bad. We had to leave our key at reception while going out but on our return it took us a good five mins or so trying to find staff to get it back. Found that a bit unusual as once your given a room key you usually keep it until you leave. Most staff we encountered were friendly enough.

Not bad but.....

Perfect for what we wanted - comfortable beds, clean and tidy, staff were helpful. The shower in my room was basically 3 drips but I had friends in other rooms and theirs were apparently good so it seems a case of luck of the draw! The breakfast was a bit sparse - one piece of bacon, 1 sausage..it would have been nice to have an option for more! But good value for money and was ideal for our stay. 

Recent visit

We have stayed recently at this hotel. It's close to the beaches, town centre The rooms are quite spacious and clean. However, there's a nightmare if you have a vehicle. There's no parking available at the hotel and the lanes where this hotel is quite narrow. You would get a parking card £4 a day from the reception but the parking is quite far from the hotel around 10-15 min walk.

Not bad

Upon arrival the staff are incredibly welcoming and eager to get everyone into their rooms, we went  down for some dinner, and ordered. When the food came sadly it was cold and the portion sizes were not great. Afterwards we went to a supermarket nearby to get some food for our room,because we were still quite hungry. The beds in our room also had mixed opinions, with laundry redoing our beds very well, but finding some of our clothes dumped under the bedsheets and finally the shower is not anywhere near powerful enough, all in all a bit disappointing especially breakfast and dinner where a member of another group was told he couldnt sit where they wanted to and was forced to move. All over all very disappointing.

on arrival at hotel reception two members of staff were screaming at each other very unprofessional .Room cold and dusty situated on ground floor people could and did look into room. Meals breakfast cold everyday maim meal side dishes were cold worst holiday ever
