Great customer service and a wonderful location right on the seafront.

Excellent location right opposite the beach. Room 2 has a great bay window sitting area with a panoramic view of the seascape and sunrise. It also has one single and one double bed. Lovely landlady Melaney to greet you on arrival. Folder in room with great local information. Small refrigerator in room.

Literally a stone's throw from the beach, you can hear the waves lapping up onto the shore as you drift off to sleep. Just off the main promenade so it's quieter but still very handy for all the main cafes, restaurants, shops, pubs etc. Great breakfast, great coffee. Very homely feel with lots of nice design touches, books, games etc. And Melaney is lovely!

I loved staying in this b&b so close to the sea, being an all year round swimmer being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the sea, appealed to me. Melanie is the hostess with the mostest. Her welcome gift of fresh homemade banana bread was the icing on the cake. Lovely breakfast, friendly chat and a lovely ambiance. Good value for money, lovely room with breathtaking view, just the perfect size for a single person exploring the delights of Weymouth. I throughly enjoyed my stay here. Melanie bought something ordinary and turned it into extraordinary. I’d stay again.

Everything about Channel View Guest House was wonderful. From the pre-arrival communication all the way through to our departure, Melaney was lovey. Friendly, accommodating and never too busy to help.

The Guest House itself is perfectly located (just make sure you have a plan for parking) with the beach literally on the doorstep. We stayed in the loft family room with the sea view, which was cozy but had plenty of room for the 4 of us (2 x adults and 2 x young children). We had everything we needed, including freshly made, delicious Banana cake. Plenty of pillows and cushions to go around and nice little touches like fresh milk in the fridge and a pair of binoculars on the windowsill (which the children used at every opportunity), made it the ideal base.

The breakfast was lovely, particularly the homemade granola and American style pancakes, which my young son claimed were "the best he'd ever seen". We were given a menu to chose form the night before so there was very little wait in the morning and everything came out fresh and hot. There was plenty of cereal, toast and fruit to help ourselves to and we were well looked after.

We had a lovely short break in Weymouth to visit the festive sights (the Pudding chase was great fun to see) and it was made all the better by a lovely place to stay and a wonderful host. We've already discussed going back for a summer visit.

Wonderful One Night Stay

The channel view was a wonderful place to stay , the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking ,truly magical to look out across the sea in the mornings. We did lots of coastal walks so it was perfect for us, the location was great. Melanely was a great host and made us feel really welcome, so helpful and super friendly. The breakfasts were also very tasty! Would 100% recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous sea views !

Wonderful greeting from Melaney, who upgraded my room which was a lovely gesture, plenty of milk provided and a slice of cake too, map of the area which has helpful as was the folder of information. Fabulous view of the sea and I was able to hear the waves crashing through the night - sheer bliss. Good breakfast loads of choices with cereals, juices, bread for toast and cooked breakfast. Melaney is thoughtful and I would only stay here if I visit Weymouth again. 10/10

Great host, fab views, ace location, wonderful place

I stayed at this B&B in October 2023 as part of a two night work trip in Weymouth. 

When I arrived I got a lovely welcome from the lady (whose name escapes me), she told me everything I needed to know, including the breakfast arrangements.

In the room was a slice of home-made banana cake, alongside the usual tea and coffee options. I was in room 5, a single room, but it was lovely and cozy. The room had a fridge, fresh milk (not the horrible plastic tiny milk portions), bottled chilled water, a bath robe and an ensuite shower. If I had one slight issue (and it is only slight) was that the water pressure on the shower wasn't the best, but otherwise everything else was spot on. My room overlooked the sea and I woke up both mornings to the gentle sound of the waves lapping against the shore (bliss!).

Breakfast was impressive. You had options of breakfast in your room, breakfast on the go and then breakfast downstairs in the dining room. The 1st morning I had my breakfast in the dining room and had lovely bacon, sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms, washed down with orange juice. tea and some toast. There was also a selection of cereal and yoghurt.  The breakfast choices and the quality of the food is some of the best I have had anywhere (and I've stayed in my hotel/b&b/hostel).

I left feeling relaxed and refreshed from my couple of days here and without hesitation I would stay again. 

Also note unlike a lot of other b&b's this one is situated on a quiet dead end road, so no sound of traffic, which was an issue for a colleague of mine at another hotel closer to the centre. 

Location wise you are 30 seconds to the beach, 2 minutes to the nearest restaurant/shop and about 10-15 minutes into town, but the walk is flat. Took me 8 minutes to get to the station. There's a Tesco about 10 minutes walk if you need anything.

Impressive B&B with a friendly vibe overlooking the sea

We were met by Melaney and made to feel welcome, immediately. We were fortunate to have been upgraded to a sea view room. We were very pleased about this as the view was beautiful. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a slice of banana cake that was amazing. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality too. Melaney made us feel as tho nothing was too much trouble and there was also a folder offering personal recommendations on places to eat and visit. We were only staying one night, but this has made us want to visit again and would happily book to stay at Channel View again

Lovely warm welcome

This little place is simple
But good value for money . Second year we have stayed and can’t fault it. Within easy distance to harbour about a 15 minute walk. Melaney couldn’t be a better host nothing to much trouble and breakfast has a massive choice along with a full English. The beach is opposite and we had access to deck chairs etc. we have already booked for august next year

So glad we found this little gem of a guest house

I stayed at Channel View one night. On the arrival I have been greeted by the host and learned that my room has been upgraded, which was very nice surprise. Room was comfortable and warm, spacious bathroom. View from my window breath taking away. Car park space is very limited, I was lucky to find a spot for my car. I can`t say anything about a breakfast, as I had to leave early in the morning and I missed it.
