I watched you both on Four in a bed and although ypur hptel geserved to win I was most dissappointed with both your attitudes. All you did was nitpick and complain. Your mother said if you cannot say any thing nice then don't say anything at all. John obviously remembered her saying that but forgot to put it in to practice. Poor show.

We have stayed here numerous times and can only describe it as perfect. Sue and John are perfect hosts with the right combination of friendliness and professionalism. They really go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The house is situated in a lovely spot just by the Downs and Sue's breakfasts are just incredible. You just do not need to eat at midday after you have enjoyed the breakfasts here.
Cannot recommend it highly enough.

It is with some reluctance that I write this review, because it is such a treasure that I want to keep it all to myself!   Having said that it would be most unfair to John and Sue,the owners, of The Golf House who provide such an excellent establishment.
We most certainly will return.

A charming house situated in private grounds. John & Sue are charming host who made us extremely welcome, as did Harry & Mitch (their two dogs).  Our own little Shih Tzu loved running around the gardens and billiard room with Mitch. Breakfast was superb - didn't need lunch.  The room we had was large and airy with beautiful views out to sea.  Bathroom was large and clean with both a bath and a walk-in shower. Everything you could need was provided. Tea & coffee including biscuits were replenished each day as was the fresh milk in the fridge. I would highly recommend any couple wanting a pleasant stay to get in touch with Sue.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this fabulous B&B...What a find it has turned out to be! The hosts Sue and John are such a lovely, friendly couple who always make me feel so very welcome The room is beautiful,very clean and light providing fabulous views. The breakfast in the mornings is amazing, I am vegan and Sue very kindly provides a breakfast suitable for my diet including a fabulous fresh fruit platter (always looks like a work of art!) using some produce from their own garden. She even provides Almond milk for me in the mini fridge in the room  so I can make tea or coffee which is provided,  plus my dogs aren't forgotten, dog treats (much to their delight) and a water bowl for my 2 pooches are provided in the room ..Nothing is too much trouble...The Golf House is situated in a lovely peaceful location and there are some great walks on the doorstep. The Needles and Alum Bay are very close by. There is a lovely pub, The Highdown Inn, 10 minutes walk away which does lovely food and has a lovely seating area outside. I absolutely love coming to the Golf House with my 2 lurchers, great accommodation, great location, peace and quiet, and what makes it is having 2 great hosts like Sue and John ....have booked to come again In September ..can't wait!

We had a really lovely couple of days staying here.  On arrival we were welcomed like old friends and shown to our room above the billiard room.  It was light with dual aspect windows, beautifully clean, with tea/coffee, biscuits, fridge with fresh milk and en-suite bathroom.  Sue also kindly changed our ferry crossing time when we were unexpectedly delayed leaving London.  Both pubs Sue & John recommended were excellent with the Red Lion having the edge but the other was within walking distance.  Tasty breakfasts were freshly cooked using local and homemade produce.  It was very relaxing and we would thoroughly recommend a visit to the Isle of Wight and to The Golf House.  We will definitely be returning. Oh and homemade yoghurt - yum

A Treasure

Absolutely shocked by this couple on 4 in a bed and there attitude would never ever stay in this place. Stay away from the TV shows it shows your true colours. Like I say the attitude of both was shocking. Hopefully they have moved on and someone else now runs it. Shame on John bloody shocking attitude 

Stay away

Nasty people, not a nice experience.  Hosts not very welcoming, very naughty and snobbish.  Not very comfortable, cleanliness non existent, breakfast  disgusting and inedible.  Bathroom Stained  toilet  smelly, dusty and tired decor.  Overly expensive for what offered.
