Excellent location, fantastic value for money - £50 a night with full cooked breakfast, fruit and muesli included; no way would you get this in London!!!Friendly staff who were very accommodating.

Such a wonderful place - great location, perfect for the beach and town. A great find! Totally recommend

Stayed here for a family wedding and really glad I did, clean, comfortable, breakfast was great, fantastic position, sea view, owner and staff are lovely and really friendly. I would definitely stay there in future if I’m back in the area.

The Hotel is in a convenient location close to all amenities.Our room was comfortable with a sea view. We were made to feel very welcome and would not hesitate to go back again.

I was very happy with my stay at Lynton House. The staff did everything they could to make me comfortable, even lending me a charger after mine blew a circuit breaker! The view over the Den and the seafront was beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable.

Very good made us very welcome  and it was very quite  and easily walking distance from the town centre

Stayed at the lynton hotel for 2 nights with my dog and it was lovely. My room was perfect, bed was comfy and it was quiet, the English breakfast was lovely and so was Lorraine and all the staff

My first stay at Lynton House and an enjoyable one. It was a welcome change to find good old fashioned friendly personal service where you were shown to your room and told where everything was and how it worked such as the pressure shower. Breakfast was good and tasty and set you up for the day and the hotel's location on the seafront was a bonus. Free car parking is available overnight but there is a daytime charge. Some might find the decor and facilities a little dated but those of us of a cerain age probably would describe it as quirky and charming. The rooms are spacious and Lorraine as host is very attentive and caring towards her guests.

Good location and value for money

A friendly welcome and professional staff. Great breakfast to start your day. Perfectly located with a sea view. Everything you need is nearby including the train station should you choose to visit other beaches.I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. The hotel is clean and the staff are welcoming. It is the perfect getaway and Teignmouth has everything you could want. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay all the more special.

I thought a little overpriced for a single traveler. Breakfast was very nice and they let me keep my mountain bike round the back of the house. Plenty of tea in my room topped up daily, the towels could be changed when left to do so. But all in all a very good location and an enjoyable stay. I would go back again and the host was lovely.

Lovely Location

They were friendly welcome and explain the route of the hotel . Rooms were very clean and checked avery day and things were topped up were needed or ytea/coffee milk toiletries etc.. Staff at breakfast were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble and they were interested in the things that  you was going to do daily. Good was good and presented well. The price was not dear 😃

Great holiday

Owner Lorraine was a very friendly host. Her staff were too. At a time when working in hospitality is hard work indeed, they were all very upbeat people. 100% for that. My room had a lovely sea-view and as the weather was glorious sunshine all weekend, it was great to see all the people out and about enjoying the seafront area.

Relaxing and comfortable stay in Teignmouth

Great sea views and comfortable stay. The decor is a little outdated as shown on the site but our room furniture was much nicer than expected. Making the rooms appearance much better than on the site pictures. The staff were very friendly with the hotel having more of a staying with family/friends vide.

Greeted with a very warm welcome and given the choice of an exceptional  river view or an exceptional sea view - there are a number of stairs involved for these 2 rooms but anyone of average health should be able to manage them!Breakfast everyday was fine and our hosts could not do enough for us and everything was fully Government compliant in terms of spacing.It proved to be an ideal base for exploring the surrounding towns and villages and was exceptional value for money and was welcoming to dogs.Rooms were kept very clean and staff were very attentive and friendly.

Lynton House - Great place to explore Devon from

Our hosts welcomed us warmly. Graham generously carried our cases up to our room. We couldn’t help noticing the slightly warn carpets and tatty paintwork. Our room was on the second floor, which was quite a climb! Though there is a stair lift provided to the first floor for disabled guests, which we thought was a nice touch.Our room faced the sea and was bright, but very warm as the curtains were light and didn’t meet in the middle. To be fair this was a very hot spell, so it’s probably unfair to blame the room! Our bed was comfy but we had some issues with the bathroom. The shower was difficult to regulate, it was either too hot or too cold, while the cold tap at the basin was very stiff and difficult to turn off. The basin plug leaked.Breakfast was really good, we particularly enjoyed the scrambled eggs and bacon. The cold drinking water provided for guests was a great idea, especially in the hot weather.
