Lovely stay. 
Sue was absolutely brilliant. She had great banter and provided a great service throughout our stay. 
She was accommodating and friendly. Not to say the other staff wet great but she really was a credit to the company.

Stayed overnight for work.  Staff very very friendly and polite.  Didn't get her name but young lady doing check in an the bar was very polite and helpful and Sue who running the restaurant very helpful, arranged our evening meal and breakfast booking. Very helpful and prompt with service and especially helpful with my colleague who was lacto intolerable.

Big shout out to Katie and Eve!

We had to make a last minute stop at almost midnight, Katie was manning the desk, and she went above and beyond! She assisted with the booking and amended the room to help us cater for my family including young children. Then in the morning ensured we made it in time for breakfast! 

Eve was then brilliant alongside Katie at breakfast.

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times, it’s our go to York stay when we come as a family. It’s quiet considering the location, a five minute drive to a park and ride to get into the city centre. We were booked nearby for a car driving experience for our son so perfect location for all we had planned. 

We checked in before 3pm, the room was ready but we had to pay £10 early check in to access the room. It was just before 2pm and seemed slightly unreasonable but after a 3 hour car ride on top of an early shift for my husband who just wanted a shower at this point we paid.  The lady in check in was lovely, a pure credit to the hotel, so friendly, chatty and she remembered us and our son at breakfast the next morning which was lovely. Even nicer was the Easter egg and card she left him in our room whilst we were out, beyond thoughtful. 

Breakfast was standard premier inn breakfast, you really can’t go wrong. Though there was no beans, who has a cooked breakfast without beans! The boiled egg was perfectly cooked though.

We slept well, we had a great stay, service was outstanding. Thank you.

My mate had a flat tire in the carpark opposite, a very approachable and nice man called will took time out of his day to charge our phones for us and he was very very friendly, inside looked very nice and tidy, would highly recommend if your in the area

We had a great stay at the Premier Inn York South West Hotel. The room was very comfortable, the food was good (the breakfast is amazing) and the team was  friendly and helpful. All in all, a very good stay!

Our short stay at the Premier Inn York South was made all the more enjoyable by the friendly helpful staff, mainly Vicky B :)  She was a very cheerful pleasant lady. Rooms were clean and location was great for our visit to York University.

We have been to some good Premier Inns and some bad Premier Inns (hello Whitehaven, yes you were appalling).
But York South West has to be one of the best we have stayed at.  Staff are polite (Sue in the dining hall is just fab).
Nothing too much trouble.
Recommend this hotel.

The accommodation was clean and comfy, the staff really couldn't have been more helpful, they are to be commended.
Breakfast was top-notch and cooked to order.
Parking spaces were plentiful.
I'd have no hesitation in booking this Premier Inn again.

Nice and comfortable Premier Inn, staff were extremely friendly I had both Breakfast and an evening meal on a ‘meal deal’ was great value and really good food. We were right next to the A64 but did not hear any cars during my stay. Really nice hotel and staff 👍

Brilliant staff!

Our go to York stay

Stayed here on a business trip, as couldn’t manage to get my usual hotel. Was a bit dubious about how it would be, but it was an excellent location for Askham Bryan’s wildlife park. I considered eating away from the hotel, but this was not convenient for me. This was a blessing in disguise, as the service in the restaurant was very good, but the only thing that topped the service was the curry on offer. Literally the best chicken Makhani I’ve ever tasted. Top drawer. I would definitely recommend.

Great night sleep. Our waitress Sue was absolutely great. Had a laugh. Would definitely come back! Couldn’t ask for a better stay. If we ever come back up this way will definitely book again. Can’t recommend enough! All the other staff were brilliant as well!

Helpful, pleasant and easy

It was everything you expect from Premier Inn with additional friendly service. It wasn't a large location and the restaurant on site was small, but it felt very comfortable and never crowded. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast menu
