This is a beautiful Victorian house with lots of original features - high ceilings, floor tiles, wood panelling, lovely entrance hall and stairs, huge comfortable bedroom. The bathroom is superb. The hosts Bill and Marilyn are lovely, lovely people who were so kind to accommodate me when I showed up on their doorstep completely out of the blue after a late ferry caused me to miss my connections and left me marooned in Stranraer. Although I wasn't expected, they went out of their way to help and were really friendly and great to chat to. Breakfast was great too. I seriously couldn't have asked for nicer people and a nicer place to stay!! P.S. It's only 10 mins by car to the ferry and around 30 - 35 mins to cycle, so it makes a great overnight stop. Highly recommended!!!
