We had a lovely welcome from Rupert who was an excellent host.  Our room was spacious with everything we required - even fresh milk.  Breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal and a choice of cooked breakfasts which were cooked to perfection.  My gluten free diet was catered for very well. Can highly recommend.

I had a very nice stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. The bathroom was amazing! The hosts were lovely and breakfast was delicious!  I would definitely come again!

We stayed for 2 nights, one before my wedding with my bridesmaids and the 2nd night with my husband. 
We had the most fantastic time, the hosts were amazing and so accommodating, nothing was too much. The rooms are beautiful! The breakfast was also fantastic. We also could not forget Nutmeg the dog! We would definitely recommend this place.

A wonderful nights stay. Lovely old house,  our room was large and comfortable with a really large shower and bath. Rupert was the perfect host and very friendly and welcoming! We had everything we needed and Rupert even have me a good running route. Breakfast was excellent with a lovely garden view. Will definitely stay again and would thoroughly recommend!

We were made very welcome by our hosts  in this beautiful house.. 
The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, large bathroom with walk in shower and
roll top bath.. 5 min drive into Sherborne , lovely little town with cool shops and restaurants..
Breakfast was awesome… a really comfortable and enjoyable stay.. top marks..

The welcome we received was great. We were given advice if where to eat and visit. Our stay was onky fir 2 nights, but we shall visit Stoneleigh Barn again. Thank you!

I had a lovely stay at Stoneleigh barn, Rupert and Camilla were really helpful and attentive. My room was lovely and the bathroom was perfect. Everything was clean and tidy, the garden was beautiful and Nutmeg the dog was really sweet.

It was a delight to stay in this comfortable country home - very clean, attractively decorated, beautiful garden and nothing was too much trouble.

Fantastic stay!!!!

Excellent!

Very welcoming

We just loved this characterful B&B and the lovely welcome from Nutmeg and Rupert! The best test of any hospitality establishment is would you return and/or recommend it? In this case it's a definitive 'yes'. Our room was spotlessly clean and very convenient on the ground floor.  Rupert kindly offered to book us a table at one of his recommended restaurants and we selected the Plume of Feathers, conveniently situated opposite the stunningly floodlit Abbey. It's only about the minutes from Stoneleigh and great Italian Tapas dishes are served. Breakfast offered many choices and a comprehensive menu of à la carte egg dishes will satisfy anyone. One tip is to read the specific directions once you receive your confirmed reservation as the entrance can be awkward if you approach from the wrong direction! A really lovely B&B with great hosts and a gorgeous, friendly dog - Nutmeg! We hope to have another excuse to visit the Sherborne area again soon so we can return to Stoneleigh.

Just loved it!

A welcoming and characterful B&B close to Sherborne. Rupert is a brilliant host, so helpful and friendly, found us a restaurant for dinner and booked it for us, even gave us some ice for my partner's sprained ankle. The little dog Nutmeg is also an adorable host, escorting and entertaining visitors. Good variety of food for breakfast with a great view of the garden. Comfortable and warm room with a spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated bathroom. Would definitely recommend for a stay in the local area.

Country gem

What can I say other than what a beautiful place this is. The service was superb, Rupert and Camilla are without doubt the nicest hosts you could ever wish to meet and Nutmeg the little dog is just adorable.
We only stayed one night as we were doing a karting event but have already decided that we will visit again in the future!
Rupert welcomed us on arrival, took our bags to our room and gave us a little tour of the B and B, our room had been heated so it was toasty on arrival and Rupert provided us with a flask of fresh milk for our coffee rather than the UHT milk which is norm for other properties.
We were eating out and Rupert kindly booked a table for us at the local pub and even gave us directions on how to get there….very kind.
Room was spotless, beautifully decorated with nice comfortable furniture and a really comfortable bed, we slept like logs!
Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, plenty of choice, great quality ingredients and cooked to perfection, hosts were extremely attentive ensuring we had enough to eat and drink.
All in all our stay was fantastic, thank you so much Rupert and Camilla and of course Nutmeg too! We’ll be back again! Wayne & Jo.

Wow, just wow!

The character and history is obvious in the hotel, with a owner who is friendly and affable, who contributed in a big way in making the stay feel more special. 

Very comfortable beds and a luxurious bathroom (my 6'3" frame rarely gets a soak)

I was looking for an affordable place to lay my head, but found a future favourite instead.  

Comfortable, welcoming, beautiful.

What a wonderful little gem! We decided midday that we fancied a night away and found this wonderful place, we had the deluxe room for my son and I, it was huge beautiful mattress and pillows .. super big bath ! Rupert and his little dog nutmeg looked after us grandly ! Tea and biscuits on arrival and a FEB with fruit and cereal the morning after .. dinner in the local what a great evening we had 

A wonderful little gem 

Absolutely fantastic B&B. I give this 10/10. The owner was so helpful and kind. The room was wonderful and very spacious as was the bathroom. We stayed in the blue room. After coming back from town in the evening we were asked if we would like to sit in the garden which we did until about 11,15pm. It was heavenly. We had breakfast in the garden and there was a lot of choices to have. Would definitely recommend this place. It was more than a B&B.
