I've stayed at the Castle Hotel several times and it's always a pleasant experience. The staff are friendly and attentive, the rooms are comfortable and well-stocked, and the location is very convenient for the train station, the town centre and Neath Castle. Always my first choice of hotel when I'm visiting Neath.

Extended initial stay without any problem. Just a convienient centre of town hotel with pleasant surroundings, local amenities and restaurants.... continental breakfast more than adequate to fuel you up for day ahead. Thank you. Will be staying again .

I have stayed at this Hotel a number of times and find it good value for money. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean and well furnished. There are areas of the Hotel that look a little dated but generally the Hotel is good value for money. I will stay there again for my next business trip. I also left something in my room when I checked out but I had a phone call a little later to let me know they had put it to one side for me.

Claire is amazing! Never seen a lilly in the toilet roll before and that's insane! Rate the castle high good team good place love it! Will be back for pleasure! Cheers team I had a lovely two weeks! Breakfast is good rooms always cleaned to a high standard! 

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very spacious and the bed are very comfortable, the hotel is in a good location for all the amenities/shops and bars, it is only about 10 minutes walk from the train station..

4th or 5th time staying here in the last couple of years. Travel for work and visits to nearby clients so just 1 night stays but they always treat me well. Always a comfortable stay but this time upgraded to a larger room by the lovely lady at the desk so I'd be more comfortable (I'm very tall) in a family room. Breakfast always great. Hotel is very easy to get to and find just a couple of mins walk from the station.

Pleasant, comfortable and conveniently located

This building is old and damp in areas. However good value for money and central. My room was beautiful. Windows quite mucky. Reception lady polite and helpful.Continental breakfast disappointing. If your wanting a quiet stay this hotel is located directly in front of a very loud nightclub so take this into consideration on a Friday/ satarday night🙂

Castle Hotel Neath

Stayed one night here to catch up with friends and attend a party .  Lovely staff on reception who happily let me leave my luggage until I could check in .  Room No 1 was a quirky four poster bedroom .. very spacious and clean .. nice bright and spacious bathroom too .  Plenty of tea/coffee in room.  It was at the  front of the hotel and it was fair week but not as noisy as you might think .. I slept very well .  Breakfast was ok but basic .. would have been nice to have some fresh fruit and pastries .. plus a choice of eggs .. only scrambled on offer .. I would stay again .. overall a decent stay with helpful staff

Quirky but friendly hotel

Another lovely stay!

A really lovely old-fashioned hotel, conveniently located for the town centre and railway station. I was impressed by the size of the room and bathroom, and the fact that the bed was a four-poster, especially given how reasonably priced the room was. Breakfast was very good and all the staff I dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel, great for a weekend stay

Staff very friendly and helpful in all departments. Breakfast fabulous. Lovely hot, powerful shower. Bed very comfortable Room was heated nicely but very dark and light was poor. Decor didn't help as it was brown. Decor in bathroom was a bit tired. Not quite like the photo in the promotional literature. Have stayed before and would stay again.

We were recommended to try this place by one of our fellow friends. When arriving at the property we were greeted so politely by the receptionist, Laura. She was so engaging with us and provided us the information that we needed. 
Prior to that we then went into the restaurant, we were welcomed by a gentleman called Chris and a lady called Anne. In which we were only waited for a moment to be seated. Whilst waiting to be served we noticed that the restaurant looked immaculate.  Politely Chris began to take our orders and ensured that our satisfactory needs were met. Both Chris and Anne took the opportunity to engage well with our 1-year-old daughter and was patient when needed and made our daughter feel welcomed.
Before attending The Castle Hotel, Neath we saw that the new menu was advertised on their page via Facebook in which took an interest to us. Which is why as a family we went to have a family meal there. Since revamping the menu, we could tell it has made improvements and has given a whole range of choices for a reasonable price. We are so delighted to say that we enjoyed every single bite of our meals. When receiving our starters, mains, and desserts they arrived very presentable and mouth-watering too. Thank you to the chef Jamie for making such a remarkable beautiful presentation, it goes to show how much you take pride in your work. In the restaurant there was plenty of room for bigger groups.
The presentation of the hotel overall is immaculate upon the reception of the building and restaurant. We will be making another visit soon. The castle Hotel, Neath is a child- friendly place!!

what an amazing experience.

Although I arrived late and left early, I had a very enjoyable night with the four-poster bed extremely comfortable. An excellent buffet breakfast, all at a very reasonable rate. Only problem was the car park that is a bit of a walk for someone needing a hip replacement but there is plenty of parking outside the hotel as long as you leave by 9am.

Enjoyable one night stay at an excellent rate

Outside decoration of building was good. Architecture was interesting and Lady on reception provided me with a brief history of the hotel. When I arrived in the car she gave clear directions to the private hotel car park.Breakfast was to a very good standard and was self service on the day I visited. My only moan was again the TV remote, whose batteries were as dead as a dodo. I reported this to the desk on leaving.
