Innisfree Hotel - BB

Having decided to take my young dog away for her first holiday by the sea, I searched for a dog friendly hotel. I also wanted somewhere on level ground and near to the beach with off-street parking available. The Innisfree hotel in Paignton met all these requirements. I phoned the hotel and spoke to the hotel owner who was very helpful in allocating my friend and I with 2 adjacent double rooms nos 9&10 on the first floor at the back of the hotel. Both rooms had ensuite shower rooms plus washbasins in the main bedrooms. The price was more than reasonable - £35 per night each with full English breakfast included. I booked over the phone with payment to be made at the end of the stay. On arrival, the owner met us and offered to help us with our luggage which was greatly appreciated. The rooms were spotlessly clean and supplied with lovely bathroom towels and accessories and tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits as well. TV sets were also provided and free Wi-fi.. The beds were very comfortable indeed. My only suggestion for improvement would be for at least one higher easy chair to be placed in room 9 as the current low ones are difficult for anybody with back problems! The full English breakfast was excellent and there was a friendly atmosphere in the breakfast room with the owners greeting everyone and being helpful with any queries about locations people wanted to visit during their stay. There is also a comfortable communal lounge with TV for visitors to enjoy. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a good value for money and human/dog friendly accommodation by the sea in Devon.
