A warm welcome. Tom was helpful with recommendations for an evening beer. Absolutely beautiful gardens. Presentation impeccable. Spotlessly clean with large luxury towels. Great breakfast. Couldn’t have asked for more for a very pleasant night’s stay.

Gorgeous little hotel for Bed & Breakfast.

We had the family room as there were no twins available so we had a double bed and a single.  The room was lovely, pristinely clean with comfortable beds and very nice furnishings.  

Very friendly and helpful welcome.  

The garden is stunning and we sat out for a while in the shade of a tree on a very hot day.  Lovely.

Delicious full English breakfast.

Safe car parking at rear and just a couple of minutes walk to the very nice town centre.

We stayed a Saturday night here two days ago. The welcome was warm and the room comfortable and clean. The landlady was very nice and made sure we were happy. 

The pub itself is a proper locals bar. Great live music on the night we stayed, it'd have been a bit loud to sleep until 10pm or so but we prefered to enjoy the music with a beer

First impressions of the hotel were great as you approach the front door through the beautiful garden. We were greeted by a friendly lady with a warm smile and shown to our rooms - two singles which were plenty big enough, not poky afterthoughts, with en-suites and all the facilities you would need, nicely decorated with their own style, clean and comfortable. The bed was better than in a lot of hotels I've stayed in so I slept reasonably well. My only small issue is that, like almost all hotels, the curtains were thin and let in a lot of light and as I am used to blackout blinds and blackout linings I always wake far too early when staying away.

We were only staying one night, so did not eat in the hotel in the evening, but the breakfast the next morning was good - a choice of fruit, strawberries, mixed berries, cereals, yoghurt etc laid out, then a full English or as much or as little of it as you wanted, or just toast for those of us still full from the Indian the night before.

One nice touch is the coffee lounge which has a supply of free coffee/hot choc/tea etc for guests so you can sit and talk to your heart's content without needing to disturb anyone when you get a bit dry.

Definitely somewhere to consider if you need somewhere to stay in the area - friendly, peaceful, and personal.

My room (single) was overlooking the school on the roadside, but very quiet even on a Saturday evening. En suite was small and a bit dated but everything worked and lovely bedding and towels, everything you need plus an excellent breakfast and a very pretty garden owner and staff very welcoming will stay again we parked right outside on the road for 2 nights and the car was fine lovely area

Booked so we could attend our son’s school play. I appreciated the pre arrival phone call to check if we needed parking. Warm welcome and flexible key policy so we could return late without any issue. 

Clean well prepared room, quite small but with a decent wardrobe and a TV remote that actually worked. Double bed rather narrow (to be fair that was noted  on the booking.com website). Bathroom fine and clean with adequate rather than generous shower pressure.  

Generous well cooked and breakfast.  

All in all it was fine and we would stay again  because we were treated well, although other places offer better value.  

We stayed here for 2 nights for a friends wedding. Ten of us had 5 rooms booked. The Hotel is traditional kept, which adds to its charm. The lady who was running the place was lovely, and helped us with any of our requirements.The garden is beautiful and we spent afternoon and evening socialising here in the beautiful weather.
Rooms are small but adequate with all the facilities your need, our bathroom was of a good size but in need of a little attention. All spotlessly clean though.
The area we all felt a little let down was at breakfast.The cereal, fruit and yogurts were all good but the cooked option was limited. Firstly it was just one option - cooked breakfast, we were not offered a choice of eggs etc.  We had also pre-warned them that we had vegetarians and a coeliac in our party, and unfortunately the option for them was to not have the items they could not eat with their breakfasts rather than have other options available. The vegetarians were left with egg, mushroom and tomato with their toast. Just something that would make this Hotel a 5/5 if they got it right I feel.

Needed somewhere to stay after a cycle round Rutland Water. The hotel is in country style and is very pretty. We booked 2 double rooms. Both were comfortable but did vary in size. Room 7 very nice, with a double and single bed and spacious en-suite.  Very clean. Tasty breakfast. Really friendly owner/ manager.

Went here due to glowing reviews. Parking only in street for 2 hrs free between 8am and 6pm .  We arrived luckily at 5pm pm and got the last space near the hotel. The car needs to be moved  before 10am in morning  to another parking space in the village, 
Our room was very small and dowdy. We could hear all the movement in next door rooms. The lounge was dated and uninviting. 
The garden was nice but the view from our window was a moss covered extention roof,  drain pipe and facing wall.
The garden is nice, but we did not sit in the garden as it only had low,  dated, plastic slated chairs with no cushion pads. We went to nearby cafe garden which had modern inviting comfortable seating
Breakfast was average, would  have been nice to have had some better quality bread . 

I would not go back there nor recommend  it.
