We stayed here over Christmas as it was the nearest reasonably priced hotel to my son's house. I was really only looking for a bed for that week but was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the hotel. In particular the staff were lovely, always friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and the breakfasts were really good. Some days the hot food was cooked to order which made them even nicer. However it was the staff who made the stay such a good experience.

When I go away on business I always try to stay with Premier Inn. Is because you know what you're going to get with in a slight range of parameters this staff are on the whole very conscientious knowledgeable and want to help. Almost everybody has a sense of humour which is a great thing for me. I stayed at Premier Inn Nottingham S as part of a business trip for a local establishment within the prison service with the hotels location being not too far from where I was it made perfect sense for me to stay there the night. Unfortunately this hotel does not serve an evening meal however there is a pub next door which was fine for me however I do prefer to eat at the Premier Inn where I am staying. The breakfast was excellent as ever and it was all freshly cooked and well presented. I had a pretty good night's sleep and will definitely choose this location again when I am up in the East Midlands.

When you’ve stayed at Premier Inn hotels you know to expect consistent high standards all over the UK. As I have experienced over many years. However the Premier Inn Nottingham South was exceptional. The welcoming and friendliness of the staff. Casey on reception who checked me in and also my party guests at later times deserves special credit with his chatty character. The beautifully cooked and presented breakfasts by Dee the chef were truly magnificent, quality ingredients and plentiful. For £9.99 - incredible value for money!! 

Spacious restaurant. Hotel room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel. A fully stocked vending machine came into use on a few occasions. If you want a quieter room ask for one that faces the car park and not the other side which borders the road. Note the hotel does not have a bar but it’s next to a good pub. Also the restaurant does not offer daytime or evening meals. 

On departure I took time to find Bobby the manager to personally thank him and praise his staff for all the reasons I’ve stated in this review. This is how a budget kind of hotel should be.

Every member of staff we dealt with could not have done more to help. Absolutely professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast staff were brilliant too and poached eggs cooked to perfection! It was a pleasant surprise to find friendly, competent and helpful staff… sadly a quality which is lacking nowadays!!!

From the time I arrived Angelita on reception was very welcoming and very accommodating and got the best room to suit my needs. Felt very safe,  I was close to reception & restaurant so I was confident to be alone. Ricardo in the restaurant was very pleasant polite and works very hard to keep the restaurant clean and tidy. Desiree cooked my breakfast on my first morning to perfection. 2nd morning someone else did, not so well lol , but if they were doing breakfast again , I would just give a few pointers ie less water on the plate from poached egg, but that’s only me being fussy to what I like. Room very clean and comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely room as always with premier in, deep bath for a soak and great bed for a quality sleep. Great usb and hdmi inputs and nice decor, in the room and the hotel itself 

The room was perfect for our needs, and the lady in the dining room was so helpful, the lady on reception was helpful too as we had a problem trying to book an extra night online, my grandson didn’t want to leave.

The Premier Inn gets it right.  We always know that we will receive a warm, courteous and efficient welcome at one of the Premier Inns.  The room is clean and pleasant with enough of the basic needs.  The staff are well trained and cheerful and having the option of dining on site is a distinct plus.  The Premier Inn chain remains our hotel of choice.

Only stayed one night as we were collecting a new car the next day in Nottingham.
 Very clean room, pleasant staff and good value. Breakfast served in the hotel was also very good and cooked fresh to order.
We also ate the pub next door which was also very good and good value.

Simply the best

From start to finish, our stay was perfect. We booked 1 night in a family room, with breakfast the next morning so we were close at hand for a 10am family funeral.

Check in was smooth and polite, and the lady on reception could not have been more helpful. She was amazing.

The room was comfortable and clean, the standard you would expect from a Premier Inn. Beds were comfortable, with extra pillows in the room should we choose to use them. There was a cady of extra tea/ coffee bits easily accessibly in reception so you could top up the bits in your room too.

Whilst close to a very busy road, we didnt notice any traffic noise or disturbance, and all slept well.

When we came down for breakfast, we were greeted by the same lovely lady who had checked us in the night before - she remembered our room number without being asked and seated us quickly. Breakfast was lovely - the poached eggs were beautifully done, and my husband said the hash brown was “one of the best I’ve ever eaten”

Unfortunately, in the rush to the funeral, we did leave a couple of items in the room at checkout. We called and spoke to Maria - within 15minutes, she had the missing items located (having contacted her colleagues on housekeeping) and helped us arrange for the items to be collected and returned to us.

Stellar customer service, well presented, clean and tidy rooms, and a lovely breakfast to set us up for an emotionally challenging day.

Great value and great staff

Being as it was December when we visited, we did not expect the window to be wide open upon arrival. We had visited the Cemetery and was looking forward to a nice warm room. Instead we were faced with a freezing cold room , and the temperature thermostat did not work.
Having spoken to reception, they DID NOT. send anyone to look at it.  Warmest place in the room was theshower. Not worth £91 for 1 night.

We chose this hotel as it was away from the city centre but had great transport links. We certainly weren’t disappointed with either. The main city link bus route is right outside the hotel and we didn’t have to wait longer than 10 minutes for a bus throughout the weekend. The hotel rooms were a bit dated and worn in places but the room was clean and we had a really good night sleep both nights we stayed. Tea and coffee were provided with an area in reception to help yourself if you wanted more. There was also a vending machine with crisps and drinks. The main highlight of the weekend was the breakfast. We opted for what we thought was a buffet breakfast but whilst the cold selection and drinks were buffet style, the hot offering was cooked fresh and was absolutely fantastic. Cooked to perfection, hot and absolutely delicious. We’d definitely stay here again. Staff were really friendly and accommodating too.

Great base if you don’t want to stay in the city centre.

Comfort, peace and stellar service

We stayed at the hotel on 21st and 22nd December during a particularly anxious time. Our Grandson was in Great Ormond Street having an operation, after recently spending 6 weeks in intensive care at the same hospital. We weren't able to visit, so instead visited our other 2 Grandsons in Nottingham. Our stay was made so much better by Maria, the receptionist. She is so very kind and compassionate, way above and beyond the call of duty and we can't thank her enough.
