We stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2019 on a business trip and thought it was quite a nice place. Everything we needed was within a 10 minute walk including restaurants, takeaways, shops etc, we were able to get into the city centre easily from here too. The hotel itself is basic but clean, the man who greeted us was very nice indeed and gave us an ironing board and iron upon request. We slept well every night as the area was quiet. If you're looking for a swanky hotel then this isn't for you, if you are looking for a clean bed for a couple of nights then this is perfect. Very reasonably priced place at £175 for our whole stay, really can't grumble at that!

Enjoyed our stay

The room was very small and very basic. Wasn’t unclean as people have said, but the room and bathroom especially were tiny. The bed was comfortable enough and there was a TV and tea and coffee facilities. The shower was surprisingly good in comparison to the rest of the room. Good if you need somewhere cheap for one night only, but it is more like a hostel than a hotel.

We booked this hotel in the evening but on the way we were caught in a major traffic jam due to a severe accident. 
Contacted the hotel and they told me that they will only wait 1 hour for us (until midnight) and I would have to pay £10 extra

We did not know how long we would be held up in traffic and asked the hotel for alternative arrangements which they rudely refused. 

We arrived and they were locked up, ended up sleeping in the van and was charged for the full amount. 

EXTREMELY UNFAIR AS THIS WAS UNAVOIDABLE!!

Complained to the manager the next day and was insulted by him. 
Taking further action. 

PLEASE AVOID!!!!!!!

Very bad service and rude staff

I refused to check in here.
No off road parking as promised, and also no room to park on road.
Owners shouted at me saying to park on double yellow lines.
Hotel in run down housing estate and half the hotels land is boarded up.
Bags of rubbish everywhere.
I quickly went online and found somewhere far nicer 2 miles away.

Terrible. Avoid.

We booked room here for one night, paid and went up to the room.  My experience was exactly the same as those already mentioned i.e. dilapidated, smelly and unpleasant.  I went straight back to the car and refused to go back in again. Disgusting place.

We found somewhere else to stay.  Ended up being an expensive one night but there was no way I was staying there.

Horrible place. Avoid.

This hotel is beyond basic. On arrival we thought we were in a hostel. Whilst the lady who greeted us was pleasant, we did not see her again. The walls are paper thin. We could hear everyone’s conversations, what they were watching on TV and even a kettle boiling. We could hear kids of whom I assume belong to the family who live there late at night, shouting and running around. The towels and bedding were clean but that didn’t stop me from itching all night. I think I managed about 2 hours sleep. We would not recommend this ‘hotel’. Pay the extra £20/£30 and stay in a premier inn.

BEYOND DISGUSTING!!!
Booked to stay here with my boyfriend and my little girl as it was local and close to Chessington world of adventures. 
We booked it through booking.com as it wasn’t far from Chessington and had a ‘pleasant’ rating of 6 on the site. 
Now I wasn’t expecting much for the price we paid £69 but I What I was expecting was a basic clean room..
I am no snob but as we walked into the reception I noticed it didn’t look the cleanest of places, thick dust on the reception counter and on top on a random dirty fridge in the corner of the room and it stunk of sweat and B.O.
I wish I had just taken my family walked straight back out the door there and then.
When we got in our room I instantly noticed the bed made with make up all over the sheets.
My boyfriend went down to reception and the women (owners wife) came upstairs and said she would change the bedding and she had just made the bed and it was an old stain, in disbelief I said and “do you think that’s ok to put stained bedding on a paying guests bed?” To which she just shrugged and said “I’m changing it”.
When I took a closer look at the make up ‘stain’ it in fact wasn’t a stain and was clearly fresh foundation that hadn’t been washed!!!
As she changed then bedding I then saw the disgusting stained brown and yellow duvet and pillows underneath the sheets and felt instantly sick
I said “this is disgusting and you are violating basis hygiene standards”, 
She then told me that she had just cleaned the room herself which made me furious as it was beyond filthy.
Anyway she didn’t seem to care, she offered us another room to which we declined and said “we want a refund as you couldn’t pay us to stay here with our child under any circumstances”
As I looked around the room I then saw tea or coffee stains up the walls, dirty sticky marks all over the wood above the plug sockets and a filthy bathroom to say the least.
There was grime around the plug holes, and shower head, pubic hair on the shower base and the toilet as you can see in the picture looked like it had never been cleaned.
The more I think about the state of the room there was absolutely noway she had changed the bedding or even attempted to clean that room, it had just been remade after the last person had slept in it. 
The carpet had old bits of food all over it, the plug in fan had a thick sheet of dust resting on top of it.
When I opened the fridge i was shocked my the amount of mould I saw festering in corner of the door and at the big brown liquid marks it had inside it aswell.
Even the mugs next to the kettle were dirty inside.

The owner came to talk to us after we demanded a refund and said he would process it to which he did and rightly so!
They didn’t look embarrassed or ashamed of themselves as I’m guessing these complaints must happen all the time!

We then went back onto booking.com and booked to stay in a holiday inn hotel which was about a 25minutes drive away and I had honestly never been so relived to walk into a clean hotel.

I am beyond annoyed that they are making money of paying guests to stay in these rancid conditions.

To think that they are ok with little children sleeping in dirty bed sheets and using dirty facilities to was in is disgusting and makes my blood boil!

This place needs shutting down and I have contacted trading standards about it to avoid anyone eles being scammed by these disgusting people and potentially getting ill at the hands of their dirty unhygienic premises.

ANGEL INN YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DISGUSTING, DIRTY, UNHYGIENIC ‘hotel’

This is the most discusting place i have ever stayed at...when we arrived at reception guest was complaning of vile smell in her room.said she did not want to stay.handed her door card back..not a good start..our room was ok.but there was a musky smell in hallway..beds ok basic but clean..room was dusty.especially behind tv..cannot recommend this hotel..more suitable to builders who want cheap smelly dusty rooms.

A joke

I booked it for one night as I was working in the area. I wish I had done the 8 hours of travel the area is nasty and my pictures can tell you the rest of the story. Dirty does not sum up this place stay away 

Terrible avoid at all costs 

I have very big experience of staying in the different hotels and I can say staying in this place was my worst!!Stuff unprofessional!Rooms very small,beds very uncomfortable!All the shops near this hotel was always closed.
