Fife Lodge

We were visiting family who stay in the area for a few days. Have stayed here a few times before but this time was best yet. Think the rooms may have been refurbished as the decor in our room seemed pretty fresh. Room 1 was large with a super king sized bed and a full size single bed. Believe they are Hypnos mattresses and they were very comfortable. Bedding was very good quality and the room was well decorated with plenty of hanging space and storage. Two easy chairs, a table, a desk and another chair still left plenty of space in the room. Bathroom was well appointed with a walk in shower and was immaculately clean. Only down point was that the windows were a bit dirty and there was condensation on them in the morning. As said by another reviewer, it did take a wee bit of time for the hot water to come through first thing on our second morning - it was fine first morning though. Staff are super helpful and interested in the guests and Colin, who served breakfast, is a ray of sunshine. Breakfast was made with local ingredients, was plentiful and tasty. Wi-fi can be a bit ropey but Fife Lodge is an old building and once you connect with the wi-fi it’s not bad. A very enjoyable experience and I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
