Was doing the NC500 in our camper van so needed a stop off and this lovely little place was perfect. Provided great local knowledge of where to go and so close to so many things. The owners were very helpful and the room was lovely and comfortable

One night stop with our family on the NC 500 route. Lovely situation with amazing views and friendly and helpful hosts, the rooms were spotless and the house warm. Huge breakfast (!) to set us up for the day, really enjoyable, thank you

The Host Katie & Owain really looked after us when we stayed for 2 nights before heading to Orkney & Skye. The room was clean and beautiful. Deers & Goats outside.  They had chickens & baby chickens and kindly let our little girl hold them. They even let her play with their little dog which made her holiday.
Breakfast was lovely and Katie & Owain advised us on the best places to go and what to see on our short stay. We even saw a rare bird on our first hour there the Hen Harrier. Great start to what was an awesome 10 days trip to Scotland. Weather was awesome the whole time. Again. 
Defo will be back to that part of the world.  All of it stunning.

Excellent b&b. The rooms are lovely, spacious , spotlessly clean and comfortable. The views from the family room are amazing. Lots of choice for breakfast which was outstanding. On our four night stay we had a different breakfast each day, which we couldn’t fault, and really set us up for the day.  Our hosts Katie and Owain were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area, and gave us some fantastic recommendations of places to visit. Annie’s Bakery, the stacks and Puffin Croft were real highlights.  We will return and would highly recommend.

The views are stunning. The accommodation very clean and comfortable. The service is superb, the hosts are really warm welcoming.  Breakfast menu is great and wholesome, all nicely presented and served.

I was made to feel so welcome by the hosts and their little dog Stanley, the setting/scenery is beautiful, great location for visiting John o Groats, Wick, Thurso and local castles on the clifftops. Some excellent boat trips in the area too. 
Alba sunrise is immaculately clean and very modern, comfortable, lots of TV channels and great WiFi connection. I felt very relaxed during my 3 night stay....I would have happily stayed longer. The breakfast is fantastic, so much to choose from, even for a vegetarian!
I would 100% stay here again if I'm in the area 😀

Superb location just a short drive to John O Groats with stunning views out to sea. The bedroom is large, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast plentiful and very tasty. Owain and Katie are perfect hosts

For an evening meal the village inn in Keiss is very good although their customer service could be improved

Owain and Katie could not have been better during our stay. We toured the NC500 and found this location a perfect stop on our journey. Amazing breakfast, warm atmosphere, lots of space to park, I could go on forever. Amazing couple and wish you well in the future, thanks again, shall definitely be returning one day!!

A beautiful b&b just outside of John O'Groats, the perfect resting place. 
The owners Owain and Katie were wonderful, friendly, professional, nothing was too much trouble. 
Our room was lovely, the seaview made it so peaceful. The bed was comfy, a good sleep. Breakfast was superb with the freshest egg from the onsite chickens. Highly recommended

Stayed there 7/3/22. Young couple who purchased the property/business last year and undergoing their first year. Excellent friendly service. Nice clean property. Breakfast room with views over the sea. I wish them well in their new venture.

Absolutely Superb!

Brilliant Stay

NC500 stop

Just back from a wonderful star at Alba Sunrise Bed and Breakfast. The house is cosy and relaxing, the room were spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable & the breakfast delicious. This is the perfect place to explore the Highlands. We were lucky to see the Northern Lights on two consecutive nights which was unexpected. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Alba Sunrise B&B. Our hosts were so welcoming and accommodating. The room was cosy and the bed super comfortable. We slept like rocks. Our room had lovely sea views too. We opted for the continental breakfast in the morning and it was delicious. We had bread, different cured meats and cheeses, a croissant, yoghurt and fruit, coffee, tea and juice. The table next to us had full cooked breakfast and that looked delicious as well. 10/0 would highly recommend.

Great stay

I can’t really express just how welcome everyone here made me feel, if I could have stayed forever then I would. Family run, incredibly warm hospitality. 

The place was spotlessly clean with tasteful decor, my room was so cosy. Breakfast was delicious and they cater for vegans too. 

This wasn’t like most B&B stays I’ve had elsewhere, I felt like I was sharing their home with them and it was like staying with old friends. 

Can’t wait to come back, it was the absolute highlight of my holiday.

Found this on line doing a road trip around Scotland.  Fantastic host very helpful nothing too much trouble.  Rooms big and spotlessly clean, fab breakfast continental and full Scottish.  Overlooking the seas with fantastic views lots of sheep and chickens and Marco the host well you couldn’t say a bad thing about him.  Would have no hesitation in returning.  Only five bedrooms but beautiful.
