My husband and I spent 3 nights here at The Ben View and were full of praise for the wonderful hospitality Donald and Anne offered us.
The accommodation was excellent, clean and spacious, and absolutely everything that we might need - and more - was provided.  As for the fantastic views . . . they were exceptional.
Breakfasts were really delicious with very generous portions - and a great range of options.
Donald was very approachable and informative about the local area and Skye itself.
The nearby 'Hungry Gull' cafe/restaurant in the local community centre is well worth a visit - our Saturday evening meal there was very enjoyable, including the wine!
We would highly recommend The Ben View and hope to return again soon.

My husband & I spent a few days in Skye for our 35th wedding anniversary, stayed at The Ben View b&b, couldn't have chosen better, great location, room very clean, breakfasts fabulous, Donald was lovely, friendly & accommodating 😊

This BnB is really nice. Delicious and filling breakfast. The location is close  to the most popular sightseeing destinations, Quiraing, Old Man of Storr, Fairy Glen ect, on Skye, so we were able to see a lot in one day. The hosts are friendly and helpful. We even had a soaking tub in our bathroom! Loved it and would return. Highly recommended!

The owners of this place are unbelievably nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and cosy. Breakfast is delicious. This place is quite far from all the shops, restaurants and civilisation in general(but the owners will definately warn you yo have dinner before coming), but close to the most beautiful places in Skye. It is a perfect place to spend 3-4 nights while exploring the picturesque Isle of Skye.

And many thanks to the owners, Donald and Anne, for their help after having some problems with booking.com before arriving. Those people are amazing 💙

We only spent 2 nights but next time would like to stay up to a week and make Ben View as the base to explore Isle of Skye. Close to many key attractions, including: Staffin's Old Harbour, Quiraing, Kiltrock & Mealt Falls viewpoint, Duntulm Castle ruins, Skye Museum of Island Life, etc. Nice house with big garden and area to park. Our ensuite room on the second floor was spacious, warm, very well equipped and cleaned daily. Ample supplies of tea and coffee and there was a fridge outside the room for guest use. Fast wifi. Breakfast had everything and of generous portions: full Scottish + toasts + cereals + fruits, etc. served in the common room downstairs with awesome view of the mountains and sea afar. Donald, the owner, was kind and helpful, making us feeling at home. We could also come and go anytime. The little dog, Mini, was quite cute and playful. Recommend highly.

Stayed for one night just after after the new year, it's Family like and very comfortable B&B.  Owners are like all wonderful Scottish people. Breakfast was generous. Just you need to remember to take cash..

The room was large and well stocked.  The host was very friendly and told us a few great places to see we never would have found on our own.  The breakfast was large and tasty.  Views we excellent and the wi-fi worked very well.  If I ever get back to Skye I will stay here again.

Location is excellent for scenery - second to none on a clear day! Staffin is a quiet village perfect for walking, relaxing and sight seeing. Only a half hour drive to Portree and twenty minutes to Uig.

The hosts were fantastic - very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and they were happy with you using your room as much as you liked. Covid procedures in place too.

The room was suffice. Very clean and tidy and had everything it needed. Could perhaps use a bit of a revamp but maybe this adds character for others. Sadly, I must say that the walls are paper thin. Not all guests are good at sticking to the quiet hours rule and you can here every footstep of the room next to you. The bathrooms have loud fans in them so it doesn't necessarily need to be yours that will keep you up if left on. The running water is like a jet engine going off but I guess that can be expected if it's an older building.

Overall - a very good find for the great price that was offered.

Our room at Benview was very large and comfortable with great views. In fact the whole house was spacious and welcoming - very good breakfast! Our chief complaint was the access, the road is badly rutted and in serious need of attention. The cattle grid at the entrance to the land surrounding the house is broken and all together presents a difficulties for a small car to access.
