Lovely country B&B, comfortable room, excellent welcome from Dawn and Emily.  The breakfast was fantastic, one of the best we have ever had and the Rustic Welsh Afternoon Tea was out of this world.  All home made, savoury and sweet, the Welsh Rarebit slice was absolutely delicious.  We hope to return.

Beautiful location, comfortable clean room, lovely breakfasts and very welcoming. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a long weekend. I recommend this place without hesitation. Thank you for a wonderful stay. 

Cosy and homely, Dawn has nailed the decor with its real country farmhouse feel, from the rooms to the dining and lounge areas, accentuated by Christmas trees and decorations and a warm, cinnamon scent wafting through the front door as soon as you step inside. Breakfast options were presented upon a diverse menu in the room to order the night before, and the self-service spreads and cereals added an extra touch to the hot breakfast being freshly prepared while you relax and watch the world pass you by. Found down a winding country lane just outside of Abergavenny in the Brecon Beacons, the escape from the city is this wonderful retreat. Emily was always friendly and knowledgable in her service and I appreciated the right balance of privacy and assistance. Would stay here again. 

We enjoyed our stay very much. The bedroom was tastefully furnished and very spacious. The breakfast was very delicious and generous. The shower has actually very much pressure. Everything was outstanding. Thank you!

A wonderful, peaceful place to get away from it all, in a beautiful countryside location but any easy short drive to Abergavenny for restaurants, pubs etc. Staying here was like staying with old friends. We were warmly welcomed and nothing was ever too much trouble. The breakfasts are amazing . You even get a choice of several different types of cooked breakfast. I sampled several. All delicious. 

Had a lovely two night stay at Llansabbath. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, the bed supremely comfortable and the breakfasts superb. Fab! 

Stayed for three nights, nice comfy room, very good breakfast with a choice of teas. Lovely really quiet location, no noise at night so lovely relaxing place. Would stay again. Nine cats also live here and they are friendly, they do not pester and lovely to watch. The house is in a beautiful setting and the views are very nice.

From the moment we arrived Dawn made us feel more than welcome. The B&B is off the beating path so prepare to drive a good mile along a narrow single country lane ;) You can tell that the whole house and every room were decorated with so much love for detail. Keen Harry Potter fans will notice the odd Niffler or HP reference. The breakfast room is no different. A vast selection of different teas will let any tea fan’s heart soar. Breakfast was delicious and Jeb (Dawn’s husband) who served us our food was the nicest. The whole B&B is a family affair which the owners adorably explain in their info folder. If you want a quiet getaway that’s nevertheless in good reach of surrounding attractions you are in for a treat. Oh, and did I mention the nine kitty cats that roam the garden? ❤️

My wife and I recently stayed at LLansabbath for four nights...and what a good choice we made. This is a most peaceful and idyllic location (once one comes to terms with the narrow lane...but you soon get used to it!)
Our bedroom (Silivren...or some such Tolkeinesque name...I'm not a fan!) was comfortable,slightly quirky,but had everything we needed. The bathroom was splendid: large with a shower/bath and I loved the antique clock which kept immaculate time.

Downstairs, there is a well-lived in sitting room which guests can use until 8pm: after which it reverts to Dawn and Emily's use (mother and daughter combo who run the show).
if you like cats,you'll be in your element. They're lovely and some of them very friendly,as indeed, are the owners who go out of their way to ensure your well-being.
They give excellent advice,for instance,as to where to eat. And Abergavenny is rich in its choice of places. (We loved the Angel: but not The Gurkha corner). Plenty of information for walkers,too.
Best of all are the breakfasts! We're both experienced "b and b" visitors. Quite simply,among a generally high standard, these breakfasts are the best...and served in a very pleasant conservatory.
When next in the area,we won't have far to look!.....

Fantastic breakfast and afternoon tea

More cosy and inviting than my own home!

GOOD:
People - lovely.  Friendly.  Welcoming.
Room - beautiful and very clean.  Lovely shower and tea coffee making facilities.  We were also offered fresh milk for tea or coffee in room.  Lovely touch and i always appreciate this.
Setting - stunning.  Also quiet.  Just what you'd look for.
Breakfast - fantastic.  Couldn't wish for better.

DISAPPOINTING: 
· The bed and pillow. Unfortunately the mattress was poor quality and both myself and my partner ached through the night and had back ache in the morning.  My partner slept without a pillow (wouldn't usually) and I struggled with mine.
I have to stress that EVERYTHING ELSE made this a lovely B&B.  It would have been a 10 out of 10, but a good, comfortable night's sleep is CRITICAL to a pleasant stay.  Apologies, but this was so nearly a perfect B&B that I felt it was worth being honest.
