Rodway Hill Eco Pod Hotel & Golf

We met here for breakfast with friends and “ what a breakfast”.  Really good value. Best we have had for a long time . Beautifully and freshly cooked and well presented. Lovely toast and a some  butter not the usual foil wrapped portion but a nice amount on the side of the plate.  Coffee  came first  to give us time to chat and catch up, nice large cups ..could have been a bit warmer but it was a cold day and perhaps the cups which were thick were cold already. The staff and chef were friendly and efficient.  Such a pleasure to find good and friendly staff with a sense of humour.  We shall definitely be going again as soon as we can all make it.   Thanks for the tips from the chef for cooking my beef. !

We recently stayed at the eco pods just before the UK was going into lockdown so our experience was somewhat different to had hoped but we really enjoyed the night stay in the pods! Husband is the golfer and got the stay as a present. He enjoyed the unlimited golf on the course managing to fit 2 full rounds in during our stay and could have done more too. Views up the top of the course we're superb which I enjoyed as the non golfer. The pods were toasty and comfortable for the night. Tea and coffee facilities provided. There were toilets and showers a very short walk from the pod, modern and did the job. We drove into Gloucester for food on the night just a short distance away. Could have got a taxi for a few drinks if circumstances were different. Other places near by to eat. Team on site were friendly and got us in straight away so no time wasted getting onto the course. We would book again! Recommend non golfers accompanying if not going on the course to bring a book to sit outside the pods or simply admire the course. Would be prefect for a summers evening. Only thing I would request is a mini fridge in the pods to keep the drinks chilled.

We had the most amazing night staying in one of Rodway Hills Eco Pods. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the pods were just amazing. They were so cosy and clean and the beds were really comfortable. They would be perfect to stay in any time of year. The site is so peaceful and great for golf. The breakfast that was included was lovely and the site is a great location if you’re visiting Gloucester. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning again and will be recommending to our friends and family. Thank you so much!

Just come back from a one night stay in the glamping pod and it was perfect from beginning to end. When I booked this for my boyfriends 21st I rang and mentioned it was his birthday to which they remembered and left a personalised note and 2 corona beers. The weather wasn't really on our side yesterday but that didn't stop us, well maintained beautiful course. The pod is so cosy and beds were very comfy. We then woke up this morning and went for breakfast about 9, the chef came up to us and offered if we want a full English breakfast bare in mind they weren't serving warm food until 10. We then played golf all day today and had a buggy which was very good. Over all an amazing time and will 100% be returning.

What a beautiful place to visit to unwind and relax. I booked 3 nights and loved it. Waking up to seeing golf course with people slowing walking about playing was just brill. Wish the showers were hot

My visit to Rodway Hill was a gift from my partner and we both were looking forward to a relaxing break.

On arrival we were greeted in a cheerful and helpful way. We found our "pod" a fun place to be, but must say it's not quite luxurious. Clean and tidy with the basics and access to good shower facilities.

On our visit the course was very wet after the heavy rain and flooding, but the greens were still playable.

A stand out feature of our trip was the friendly staff. They really made an effort to help you enjoy yourself. Breakfast was really good with a full English to get you ready for 18 holes on the course.

I hope to visit again in the future, hopefully when the course is not so wet and the weather is better.

Highly recommended for a relaxing break in clean basic accommodation. Access to golf and wonderful staff.

The Eco pod, Is clean, bed was fine, but pretty small. Has no toilet in the pod, but there is a toilet block 30m away, which is clean has two showers, and 3 toilets. Was fine but showing the signs of wear & tear. The Views from the pod were really nice, but bring your own chairs. They have solved a previous problem of light coming into the pod via the small window.

The club house was fine, and people very friendly. Breakfast was served there and was really nice.  The bar shut quite early so don't expect to eat their in the evening. Everyone we talked to went into the Quay area for a meal, which we did, and was nice. Taxi £12 each was.

The golf course was better than I expected. In good condition, but quite easy to go from one fairway to another as they were quite close. Greens in good condition, but when we went it was quite wet, so ball did not travel far even on the fairway.
2 rounds of gold and a nights stay, with breakfast. Can not complain


I bought this as I had a voucher from BuyaGift and was expecting little from the golf course as it was so cheap for the pod stay, breakfast and unlimited golf. When we arrived, we could clearly see the golf course was in great condition for the time of year and was pleasantly surprised. We were welcomed like we were regular visitors, a really warm welcome as soon as we arrived. Got shown to our pod and was what we expected, basic but everything that was needed was there. The bed was really comfy, a nice warm quilt and fluffy pillows. The round window let in a bit of light in the mornings but apart from that, we had a pretty good nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was good also, cooked very quickly, with bacon, sausages, hash brown, beans and lots of toast. We played 1 round of golf on each day, saturday walking and sunday with a buggy, and was easily walkable with a few quite steep hills, looked busy but was always a nice pace of play. Really nice weekend overall and already thinking of going back.

I stayed here in an Eco pod for one night with my husband with a buy a gift voucher. We stayed on one of the most stormy nights of the year but despite the wind and pounding rain felt completely safe secure warm and cosy.The pod stood up to the weather perfectly.Everything had been thought of a good heater bottled water and even a cork screw were provided. Our Bed was very comfortable and the toilet/shower block was modern and clean only snag being that the shower tray filled quickly with water so I had to watch it didn't overflow. I like that clean shower mats are provided for each person and of course clean towels were provided in our Pod. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast in the clubhouse was lovely.We were also able to purchase evening food in the clubhouse up till 7pm. Lovely stay would recommend.

Lovely Little Trip Away

Relaxing

Course had lovely views and wide open fairways. Greens were challenging but in poor condition. Service was good and food was ok. Stayed in the Eco pods which were poor. Very uncomfortable beds and nowhere to put any clothes. Great views if the weather is good for sitting outside. Did not like having to leave the pod to walk over to the toilet especially at night. Standard of cleaning was poor. Nearest place to eat is the Toby which isn't in an easy walkable distance and food was poor.
