We loved our stay here. Rosemary was a great host and really helped us out with suggestions of what to do in the local area. The decor in the B&B is very authentic and quirky which we loved. Would definitely recommend this place!

great shops in Gloucester. check out the ones down by the docks.
ross-on-wye had lovely walk along the river.

Loved the breakfast, the decor, the view. Everything you could possibly need was there, and then some!
Especially loved the swinging benches where you  can sit for hours and admire the view. We would have stayed longer, if we could.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay from the time we arrived until our departure. Friendly welcome, comfortable room, excellent breakfast in a most pleasant rural setting giving ready access to the Forest of Dean.

Rosemary was a wonderful host. We came with 2 young children, who loved all the farm animals. The main house is very cozy, and well kept, and the breakfast was excellent. The nearby countryside is picturesque and relaxing to walk around in. We'll be back.

Very pleasant stay in a country setting. Owners were friendly and the breakfasts were spot on for full days out sightseeing (no lunches required). Room was very comfortable - we slept so well in the 4 poster.

As part of my husband's 50th celebration we stayed here overnight as a day was planned at nearby ICBP. Rosemary is probably the friendliest host we have ever met and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much - we wish we could have stayed longer.

My friend and I have just spent 4 nights at New House Farm. On arrival Rosemary offered us a cup of tea in the guests’ lounge which we were certainly in need of and this was served with a delicious piece of homemade ginger cake. Rosemary is the perfect hostess, nothing is too much trouble and she is very knowledgeable of the area. Our room was excellent, very clean and with the biggest bathroom I think i’ve ever had when I’ve been away.  Although we didn’t have a cooked breakfast every day what we had was delicious. All of the restaurants which Rosemary recommended were very good, our favourite being the Penny Farthing which is just down the road. The lane to the farm (Barrel Lane)  is single track but we soon got used to driving down it, as we did on lots of other narrow lanes. The farmhouse is in the perfect location for many places of interest and we cannot recommend it highly enough. We would certainly stay there again if ever we return to the area.

I haven’t stayed the b&b (although the hospitality at the house I can recommend, being welcomed to collect my order) but I highly recommend their meat boxes. 
Please get in Touch if you love beef. I have had the best joints ever from Rosemary & Nigel. Most recently a perfect top side. It’s steal for the price. So please support small business and get your gorgeous beef from them if you can. I’ve had about 6 boxes now. All gorgeous and good value.

Stay in a lovely B&B on the Gloucestershire / Herefordshire border

Quiet and peaceful

Stayed for a night early December, the owners were very welcoming at this B and B (not hotel) I was shown to my room and was advised that the room was cold and there was a spare blanket and hot waterbottle, if needed. When the central heating was powered off around midnight, I got around 3 hrs sleep as my watch was saying it was 14c I tried the extra blanket but as it was the middle of the night I went with it. The bed was very hard also. 
The owners were very pleasant however and the breakfast was very good, I would suggest that It would be a great place to stay if it was summertime. If it wasnt for the bed/quality of sleep i would have rated a 5. But the reason of my stay was mainly a place to sleep. I voiced my concerns the next morning, the room rate remained the same.
