A warm welcome on a cold wet windy day made all the difference and was just the start of a perfect stay. I cannot fault this wonderful hotel and I’m pleased to recommend it to those searching for a place to stay in Penzance. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Great value too. A 17th. Century pub is just a short walk away.

Exceptional hotel in a perfect location in Penzance. Susan and her team were the consummate hosts: delicious and plentiful breakfasts, lovely supper club with warm and thoughtful touches at every turn. Wonderful massage and therapy options and beautifully designed rooms with views of the endlessly changing sea and sky. A one off. We loved it.

Our three-night stay at Chapel House was truly marvellous. We stayed in one of the suites, which has spectacular views over the harbour and St. Michael's Mount. The attention to comfort and design detail is evident everywhere in this establishment. Our suite featured two levels- bedroom, toilet and a spacious wet room shower on the ground floor, and a stunning living and kitchen area on the upper floor, complete with fireplace.  There are three outdoor patios attached to this suite, along with a private parking space. What made our stay here especially memorable was the care and attention of our host Susan, whose magic touch is evident throughout-- from her five-star custom breakfasts, to carefully curated decor and libraries, to the range of 'extras' provided for guests-- everything from maps to "wellies", to a special swim-parka, which Susan provided when I went for a dip just down the hill at Jubilee Pool. This was an experience that we look forward to repeating!

“Home away from home” has always seemed like an ill-fitting descriptor for most hotels. After all, a basic hotel can’t provide the comforts of home, and a great luxury hotel would never simply imitate ordinary domestic life. But then there is a rare type of hotel that does truly succeed at capturing the comforts of home while transporting you far from it. Chapel House is exactly that kind of hotel. From the scrumptious breakfast to the nourishing and striking design of the rooms — a stay at Chapel House actually does feel like visiting the home of a very elegant, thoughtful, hospitable friend. Did I mention that Chapel House is perfectly located in a fantastic part of Penzance, making for easy exploration by foot, bike, train, bus, and car? Susan, the proprietress, will have all kinds of candid, creative advice for you about activities near and far. When you return, take your pick of tea, coffee, cake, wine, or spirits and settle into one of Chapel House's many wonderful nooks that peer out onto the gorgeous harbor. I was delighted by every aspect of our stay at Chapel House and eagerly look forward to returning.

We stayed overnight en route to Tresco. Wow what a find. A superb boutique hotel. Small and very charming. We have a lovely top floor room overlooking the harbour. Very stylish and well appointed. Comfy bed. Lovely breakfast. What more could you wish for. Susan and her team are well worth a visit.

A truly stunning hotel, with impeccable interior design and excellent food. Susan and her team are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. A minor issue in my room was remedied with good grace and zero fuss. Susan’s eye for design is something to behold, and the entire hotel is scrupulously clean yet feels relaxed and homely.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay would highly recommend .Purely by chance we booked over the festival weekend which was a bonus .Susan and staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in number 1 suite which afforded us with fab views especially watching the magnificent fireworks display on the friday evening after having a lovely supper prepared by Susan in the hotel .Breakfasts excellent would definitely stay again.

We’ve just spent 5 nights in one of the beautiful suites at Chapel House. The room was designed and fitted out to perfection. A very comfortable bed, high quality products & linen, a lovely kitchen with log burner and 2 terraces as well as a bifold window that meant unrivalled views across Mounts Bay that I suspect would be hard to better in all of Penzance.

Susan and her team serve up a top notch breakfast, the main house is styled very nicely and the artwork from Newlyn School of Art really raises everything to true boutique hotel/B&B level.

The location also cannot be faulted and as we had one of the suites we also had a parking space which was great.

All in all, a faultless experience and somewhere we would be delighted to return to.

Booked at short notice to coincide with some better weather. Location was good, close to shops, restaurants and the sea. We were in an attic room which was spacious and well equipped with excellent bathroom. Breakfast was very nice - home cooked to order with lovely produce and all served at a relaxing pace. We spent much of our time out walking but the hotel has a light airy and comfortable lounge to relax in.
Excellent levels of cleanliness.
Owner and staff were friendly and accommodating.

We went to stay for a few days in November, in one of the suites.  What an amazing place, honestly cannot fault Chapel House in anything. Everything is perfect,  as well a lovely host, serving wonderful breakfasts .

My partner proposed to me during our trip there, and now we are returning for our honeymoon,  in September. 

You will not regret staying at Chapel House.

Chapel House is a place of great beauty and comfort. Susan has created a space where the elegance of Georgian architecture and modern comfort exist in perfect harmony - she has a real artist's eye. The breakfasts were divine made with fresh and as much as possible locally sourced  ingredients - it was a meal to wake up for and linger over! We stayed in Room 6 at the top of the house with deep set windows with views towards across the bay, and the incredible ensuite with a deep bath set under a sliding glass roof. Our two indoor cats stayed with us and settled in immediately and loved the different windows to sit at and particularly the ledge under the sliding glass roof (which we did not open for obvious reasons!). There were other welcoming touches - delicious homemade cake to enjoy with a cuppa and a glass of wine, if you wished, in the evening. This is a place to unwind and enjoy. We will be back - cats and all.

Beautiful, relaxing, welcoming with divine breakfasts and pet friendly - heaven!
