We’ve been here many times, but this was the first visit with a motorhome. They charge £20/night to stay in the car park but this will come off your bill if you eat there, which we highly recommend. Nathan and the other staff will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and special. Every visit has been lovely. Great food, great service and a lovely walk just around the corner which leads to the beach.

We stayed for one night on a weekend break. I would describe it as a pub with rooms. It is about 1 km walk to the marshes where the view of the sea is lovely. It is a protected wildlife area and there are walking paths through the salt marsh. Dog friendly, but could be a bit precarious with deep water areas in the marsh. Need to be kept on a lead. Can’t really reach the sea and no beach area here. The Lifeboat inn is lovely. Clean rooms, tea and coffee. Friendly staff went out of their way to assist us. The dog had his own bed in our room. At breakfast they even cooked him a sausage! Breakfast is buffet style cereals and toast. Then you order which hot food you want and they make it fresh. We didn’t stay here for evening meal, we went to a pub around the corner to eat (the orange tree) and regretted it as it wasn’t as nice as our breakfast at the Lifeboat. Next time we will eat dinner at The Lifeboat.

Just had a 3 night stay and it was amazing. The inn was beautiful, log fires burning, wonderfully decorated Xmas trees and staff who make you feel welcome. The food was awesome, we highly recommend the steak pie and mash, the bar area is casual and relaxed, the food wholesome and consistently good. The room was so comfortable and warm we slept in and missed breakfast one morning, that’s a huge compliment in itself. 
The best roast on the Norfolk coast, if you haven’t been, we highly recommend you do, dog friendly, with beautiful walks on the door step.

Our 2nd visit didn't disappoint. Sooo dog friendly. Staff are top rate, brilliant. Location, if you like walking and bird spotting it is top notch. Food really good and generous portions. Locals come to the bar for a beer or two which adds to the charm. Were going back in  April and September ...... we love it. If you don't like dogs ..... don't go - otherwise fill your boots. Stunning location.

Stayed at The Lifeboat for the first time, although been plenty of time for drinks and food. This place must be the dog friendliest place in Norfolk, if not the country! We have big, well behaved dogs and the staff treated them so kindly - made us feel super relaxed.

We had a very warm welcome (and our dog was made to feel like a valued guest!). There weren’t many staff working but those who were on shift were professional and clearly took pride in doing a good job. Our room was coat and all the fixtures and fittings were quality. Food was nice. Restaurant was very nice. Would stay again.

Easily booked table for 4 midweek on line. Arrived and duly shown to a quiet corner with large comfortable table by a lovely welcoming lady.
Decent choice on the menu, with our wives choosing a couple of lovely meals, but myself and friend went for the peppered steak pie, and oh my!! We were not disappointed. Possibly the best pub pie I have had, with the waitress explaining in detail how they were baked. Together with the amazing mash, gravy and cabbage an all round top quality tasting meal . 
Would have loved to have come back another evening, (and ordered the exact same meal) but unfortunately this was already at the end of our weeks holiday 

Fully recommend for anyone looking for a decent pub meal in the North, Norfolk area

We booked for Boxing day and are family including two children found the service and the food faultless.All the staff were very helpful and were working hard to please a very busy enjoyable pub.

We visited on the day after Boxing Day for a late lunch, party of 5 and a dog.
The Lifeboat was exceptionally busy, as you would expect at this time of year, and in previous times I might have expected a long wait for food. 
I was pleasantly surprised, both starters and mains arrived after a normal wait, just the right amount of time, the staff were great and the food was very nice.

Dog friendly, motorhome friendly, overall friendly!

Really lovely

A friend recommended The Lifeboat Inn after their stay and we booked on the strength of their experience.  I read the mixed reviews after we had booked but I would have to say we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again but a couple of minor things might improve the experience for others.

We booked a "Better Room" and it was a lovely room at the front of the hotel overlooking the ample sized carpark and the coastal vista beyond that. It was very comfortable with quality carpet and well equipped. It was cosy but ample in proportion and the bathroom area was not skimped on, in size or fittings. Hot water pressure was excellent with a double headed shower and an extractor fan that you can actually hear working but not noisy. Bathroom fittings were of a decent quality in a traditional style. My only minor criticism is that the nice wall light fixings in the bedroom had heavy glass lampshades on them. Being too heavy for the arm of the light fitting it had caused the arm to sag and became loose at the joint. 

We had booked Dinner, Bed and Breakfast rate and overall it was good but we did notice that the service was a bit slow for some of the other diners during the evening meal. Whether this was down to lack of staff or staff training I do not know but we found the staff pleasant and they seemed to be trying their best. We found one or two of the hotel staff not that welcoming but put it down to someone having an off day after dealing with a busy Christmas period. The hot breakfast was particularly very nice and served on warmed plates which meant your breakfast was still hot down to the last bite. Could not fault the service or food at Breakfast.

It seems to be a popular place particularly with dog owners and the hotel does go the extra mile to cater for them with a clean dog bowl, treats and a small dog blanket in the room. I did read some criticism in the reviews about allowing dogs in the rooms, bar and restaurant. But there are many establishments in the area that are dog friendly and we did not encounter any dog or dog owner related problems stereotyped in one review. If you do not like dogs at all, then this hotel like others in this area might not be for you. Which is the same if you do not like children then do not book a family orientated establishment.

Just a one night stay-we were welcomed warmly and shown to a lovely room overlooking the marshes -with the sea in the distance. The room was light and airy,bed comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. The optional evening meal was very good...we chose from the 'specials'.The breakfast menu was extensive and service was timely...given that there were a lot of guests to serve.Overall a relaxing,pleasant stay

Excellent service from every member of staff we met - all showed great willingness to help and prompt responses to requests and enquiries was the norm. Food and food service also excellent - we ate in the bed in the evening and enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food.Situation also excellent - though we already knew that, that was the reason for our choice. Cleanliness and decorative standards could be improved and room comfort would have been improved with the addition of an easy chair or two. Bed fantastically comfortable and huge. In spite of the couple of quibbles, the experience was perfect for us and we're already planning another stay.
