Absolutely lovely park! We decided to try something a bit different than a big brand Caravan park for my dad who wanted an apartment, great size 3 bedrooms & sofa bed also. Apartment was very clean, the site was well looked after. A lot to offer at a good price, lots to do locally too. A lot of amenities on site, short walk into Hemsby. The entertainment was great, we came at the end of season & the park was very quiet. There was still live music & entertainment, some great singers. One of the girls was amazing there wasn’t many children apart from my 2 & she done her very best to play with them & keep them amused! Would definitely return again was a great price & great value for money! Thank you 🫶🏻

Had some issues recently with bookings this lady - Emma Birchall-Goggins sorted it out and restored my faith in customer relations she does seen to go that extra mile to get things right. I normally holiday here its a great park and left a review last tear about the club house witch she also sorted out .Richardson's keep hold of her there are not many of her like left

My wife and I for over 20 years used to stay at premises nearby in Winterton with round cottages - I won’t name them!

They kept putting the price up each year and apart from a refresh of the roundhouses you got nothing for the increased price. Their prices for 2023 rocketed. We come and stay in Norfolk at: Easter, Summer, October half term and December for the run up to Christmas.

This year as a result of the rip off extortionate price rises at the previous place we stayed we thought we’d try Hemsby beach.

To be frank fully honest we wish we discovered Hemsby beach a long time ago. The price was very fair, nightly entertainment, extremely polite helpful staff who can’t do enough for you to help you enjoy and get the most from your stay and the accommodation was genuinely faultless. We enjoyed our stay at Easter so much we came back at Summer and that was another excellent stay so we came for the October half term with our youngest grandson and he like my wife and I had a superb time - we will definitely be back in 2024

Booked via hoseason for a week with two kids and dog , very cheap hence I had no high expectations,  but I was pleasantly surprised 
Caravan was basic but clean, everything you need to do basic cooking 
Whole park is nice and clean and looked after 
Plenty to do around the park, swimming pool, soft play, arcades including evening entertainment (bingo, and shows and kids disco) also additional activities for small charge, which we have not done as we went couple days to gr Yarmouth 
Only short walk to beach 
Staff very nice

Only place I stay when we visit Hemsby, very much enjoy our stays here. Staff are always friendly, the accommodation is always clean, it’s not 100% top notch but, it’s functional, safe and does the job!  It’s situated close to the beach & and arcades and shops.

We had booked to stay in May but due to health reasons we had to amend our dates to September, we had booked 2 gold caravans and 1 gold with a spa (6 adults & 2 children, 3 families between 2 caravans) caravans were spacious, clean & as described. We unpacked and then took the short 10 min drive to Tescos at Caister to fill up our caravans cupboards (there is also a small co-op only a 2 min drive from the site). 

In both the quarterdeck and the yatch club is soft play for the kids to burn off some energy. Evening entertainment in quarter deck starting with adults bingo and followed by childrens entertainment, also has a small arcade. 

We had some issues with neighbours on the 2nd night of our stay, when it was reported to management the following morning they kindly found alternative accommodation for that party which was actually of better standard to compensate for the nights events, the manager Paul was brilliant, he superseded at every opportunity. 

You can eat cheaper outside of the resort, however the food in the main restaurant was very nice and can be eaten in or taken away back to your caravan. You can hire items from the ‘hire shop’ we needed a bed guard for our little one. This is £10 charge and £10 refundable deposit. 

You are only a 10 min walk to the beach, with various arcades, shops and eating establishments along the way. 

For a family holiday that we have waited over a year for, it was exactly what we needed to recharge and see our children enjoy themselves. We would definitely return!

We stayed at this park for a week in July in the Rio chalet.  The chalet could have done with a bit of a makeover but for what we paid for it, we didn't expect much.  It was spacious (4 bedrooms) with a bathroom and a separate shower. 
The entertainment crew were brilliant. Big shout out to Jack, Dan, Matilda and Tori for making us feel so welcome and putting on some great shows in the evening.  Bingo was on every night at 6.15 which was good for the adults if you like to play.   Everyone was really friendly from the Reception staff to the security guards. 
The park was only a 10 minute walk from the beach, and just a few minutes from loads of amusements and shops.
We self catered but we did eat breakfast on our last day there and it was a good breakfast

We stayed in a Barton Lodge just a stones throw away from the beach. The area was lovely and quiet very peaceful which was exactly what we were after. The burgers in the restaurant were delicious and staff super friendly!

Cannot put into words of how much fun i had on this holiday. So much to do but my all time favourite was the entertainment team. Very welcoming and energetic. Special thanks to jack he made our holiday 10x better with not only how friendly he was to us but how talented he actually is! His spectacular singing voice made us all happy and made us sing along with him.  He’s very inspirational and has made me want to get back on stage and start performing again! He’s a true gent and probably the funniest person we’ve ever met!! 

Defo coming back see you in 2 months!!!

This my 7th visit to this park - been coming for many years. Good all round family fun for a fair price. Stayed in a chalet and although now they are getting a bit tired and worn still does the job. Fairly clean but could do with a bit of attention to detail, cobwebs and curtains falling down but you get what you pay for. The park has definately  seen lots of upgrades over the years and assume the chalets will all eventually be replaced by caravans that will bump up the price. The entertainment bar is always good and never have to worry about getting a seat no matter what time you get there - even in the busy times. The yacht club is good for a quiet one although shuts a bits early but has pool tables for teenagers and soft play for the little ones. Overall a great place if your happy to get what you pay for. Only a couple of negatives -  would be the activity times are limited and the pool needs replacing as it is not big enough for the size of the park now but I’m sure that’s on the investment list and an opening  time for everything  including  Elle and Ritchie visits would be helpful (example the crows nest had limited opening hours but had to ask - a simple sign on the activity would be advantageous.  Friendly staff and security are good always checking passes so ensure only ppl staying on park are in the venue. There are plenty of places to eat and a supermarket close by and the beach 5 minutes away. Likely to be my last visit with fond memories made over the years as my boys are getting older now. Lovely site

Having read some of the feedback on here I was a little worried about our holiday this weekend. However I was most impressed with the park and accommodation! 

I would consider this a budget break for the price we paid; we were in a silver plus dog friendly caravan. It was modern, clean and not a single strain or dirty spot anywhere. The beds were comfy (not for the sensitive sleeper, but we were more than happy) and the duvets thick and warm. All the beds were made on arrival and we had bath mats provided. All the appliances worked and the crockery/cutlery well stocked. Would have appreciated a washing up sponge/cloth and mini washing up liquid as other places we have stayed have provided these.

The park was immaculate, grass cut and no litter. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and the welcome on arrival was most appreciated. The swimming pool was clean, lifeguards very attentive and changing rooms maintained. Lots of activities put on free for the kids in the run up to Halloween, and the chargeable ones were very reasonably priced. 

The evening entertainment was also great - bingo reasonably priced for five games and kids entertainment show after. This was my only negative as on one of the nights there wasn't even any dancing, they just had to sit down while they were gradually eliminated for a prize - so many of them just running round the hall screaming instead of being entertained. A few more dancing activities or maybe a dressed up character would have been appreciated! The main acts each night were impressive, we loved the band on Saturday night. 

For anyone who doesn't know Hemsby, do your research! It's not formal gardens and seafront, but a single road of arcades, bingo rooms, sweet shops and cafés. All this is great for the kids and all easy walking distance from the camp. The one pub (the Lacon Arms) was nice, but pre-book if you want Sunday carvery! 

All in all a really fun stay - the amenities on site are amazing and most of them free, the multiple arcade rooms have tickets which are all redeemable in the main arcade by the yacht club which was appreciated. Staff are really friendly and we'd definitely go back!

Very pleasantly surprised!

Just got home from a great week! Not many on site as end of season which was lovely. Imagine it’s rammed in the summer! Very large site, we stayed at the very back in a no pet lodge about 10-15 minute walk to main centre. Hot tub was the biggest I’d stayed in, clean and perfect! Lodge was a little tired with rusty radiators and honestly the worst bed I’d slept in (other reviews were right about this) however ignoring that it was clean and spacious and we loved it! What made our holiday was the staff, they were all lovely. From playing out favourite songs to joining in with water wars, they were great. I was worried after reading reviews about the area outside the park being like Skegness but it wasn’t, a few grotty cheap shops and the odd drunk but nothing bad and felt safe walking round even at night. The site was so clean as well.  Food in the restaurant and bowling centre part was lovely. If Richardson’s read this, you have a lovely site and great set of staff. Please however don’t let cleaners at the end of the holiday ask us what time we will be leaving, I don’t suppose management know this happens but they were badgering us all in the lodges about when we planned to leave so they could clean - this was 8am not the check out time of 10am! Anyway, I don’t often return to caravan parks but would with this one!

The check in was quick everywhere was clean and grass cut on site  We stayed in a pet friendly platinum lodge with hot tub  on first entry to it a cream carpet greeted us and was full of stains and on the sofas are these cleaned out of season? But the Lodge was nice overall the hot tub was clean and fully working patio full of leaves we ad no problem with that it is that time of year we brushed them up. The bed was comfy the bath and   showers wss clean it was also very quiet where we was overall we enjoyed our stay, I also think some of the reviews are nit picking nothing is perfect and Nether are those that wrote them. Richardsons beach holidays have upper there game from a year ago and we will return in the future.

We are going home tomorrow after a great 5 days/4 nights. There is so much to do, we didn't get a chance to do everything.
Our caravan was clean, good entertainment facilities and excellent food (though I have had enough chips now) we didn't cook in our caravan. The only issue we had  was the gas had run out on our first evening - but the tank was filled by the next morning. (Not holiday parks fault, just late in arriving from supplier) 

Great holiday for families.

Overall it was a good holiday. We had a gold spa caravan for 3 adults. 1 child and it was a perfect fit for us. We like the idea of having a proper sofa bed in the living area which allowed us to take my mother with us. Usually caravans come with child size singles in smaller bedrooms but this was a proper bed. Caravan was clean, no smell or hairs despite it being a pet friendly accommodation. My mum travels with her cat and the way he behaved confirms there was no usual “dog” smell around. Staff are friendly and there is a lot to do on site and around. We loved the beach but did not go to the main one - prefer the one on side which u can access by leaving the park through a small gate at the back. 
The only reason for 4 stars is the accommodation price. Fully understand it was August but half of the park was empty cause it was rather expensive stay.
