We love Blake’s we travel for an hour to get there and tend to go at least once a month. The Staff are fantastic especially Joe he goes out of his way to accommodate you. Live music which is a vast variety and always great. The food OMG you won’t believe your sitting in a pub as it is amazing.

My partner and I come here often it’s one of our fave spots! Great food and staff. Would definitely recommend this place :) 

The bar downstairs often has live music and the pieces are really reasonable.

Now the place may have placemats that you can get from wilkos but never let that fool you! I have a simple burger and it was quite possibly the most beautiful burger I have ever had ! I even ate the salad!! That doesn’t happen often. I had the Blake’s of Dover burger and it was truly beautiful highly recommended!! And really good pilsener, Will be returning 😊

We enjoyed a three night stay at Blakes a d can not wait to return in September. Warm and welcome staff, Joe and Janet were most accommodating. Our room looked out over Castle Street. The room was very comfortable.

Group of 10 dined to celebrate a birthday, we were welcomed in and shown to our table and had a drink while waiting for everyone to appear, good selection served well and a good price as well. The menu is varied with something for all tastes and a few specials displayed above the bar. Apart from 2 who had the same steak we all had something different off the menu the dishes were well presented and we tucked in. The food was delicious well cooked tasty and ample to satisfy our appetites. We only had starters and main course (just as well we were all full) but there is a good selection of desserts. Overall we were made welcome the food was really tasty and the  atmosphere pleasant and homely. I'm booked in again soon and am looking forwrd to it 

Fantastic Food cannot fault!! Been there a few times now and we love it!!! Staff are great and most accommodating. Best restaurant by far. Can definitely recommend!! Prices aren't too bad either, you get what you pay for. May be a little more expensive but well worth it for sure!! Martin & Sonia.

Met some family members unexpectedly this afternoon. We had a great time. Fabulous cheese board. Great music. Can't wait to be there again next week for a family birthday. Always made so welcome. Food to die for. Music for all tastes. Don't leave it too long before you visit

We had a very enjoyable overnight stay here . We are on the restaurant and both had the venison burgers with Stilton sauce , delicious ! . The bedroom was small but very comfortable with everything you could possibly need 

We booked this for an overnight at the end of walking from Canterbury (along the Via Francigena, the pilgrim's path to Rome which mostly follows the North Downs Way on this stage) and so were craving a clean room with a comfortable bed, and that is what we got. We arrived about 5:30pm and were shown to our room upstairs. There were people and music in the back garden (from the pub on the lower ground floor), but we did not mind and it quieted down in good time for bed later on. The next day we were able to leave our bags behind the bar in the restaurant (on the ground floor) and pick them up before our 3:30 train to London, all handled in a friendly, professional way. Would definitely stay here again. No breakfast is served, but the price reflects that, and there are convenient options nearby.

Overnight stay

Great location!  Convenient to the ferry and the train station (in the middle between them).  Quieter than we expected being above a pub and restaurant.  The accommodations were as expected from the photos.  It could easily raise the rating by upgrading the bedding and some of the furnishings.  The food and drinks in the pub were very good.  Dover Castle is just up the hill.
