We visited for Sunday dinner. Lovely welcoming staff who seated us straight away. The atmosphere was great. We were seated by the kitchen. We could see all of the delicious food being put on the pass. I ordered the beef. It was sensational and the mash was superb! Lots of fresh vegetables to share. More than enough between six of us. We were all very pleased with our choices and will definitely visit again.

If you want to go to a hotel with fantastic views, great food and brilliant staff go to the Cross Foxes. We’ve just had our second visit and not been at all disappointed. Admittedly I was tempted back by an offer for walkers in particular which included a packed lunch, because I like my food, but the whole experience was pretty near perfect. Luckily, and unusually for Wales, the weather was perfect. The drive there through the mountains was spectacular and with the proximity to the coast we had a fabulous day at quaint Criccieth, walking on the beach with the amazing view of Snowdonia, and eating the ice creams which are justly famous. 
Sitting in the sun on the Foxes great deck was very relaxing, eating from their nicely unusual menu, with the best fish and chips as, ok mainstream, but delicious was almost too much. The portions are very generous, a good trend. Our room was sumptuous with a picture postcard view of the hills and spring lambs. 
All the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, and although we were two of only a few actually staying, the restaurant and bar were very busy in the evenings, locals must appreciate this place, luckily. 
I hope this keeps on being somewhere we are very happy to go back to, haven’t tried their sister place at Devils Bridge yet, perhaps next time if we can tear ourselves away!

Beautiful, cozy place to stay.  Highly recommend

Very comfortable stay and excellent food. We enjoyed our evening meal and also the breakfast with a wide choice on the menu and lovely selection of fresh fruit on the buffet.

Great service and delicious food. We all had steaks which were great quality and well cooked. We all loved the hand cut chips and homemade onion rings too! Will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. It does tick all the boxes, the food was excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean. Definitely would recommend. The location is great for local walks and exploring the area.

Staff were fantastic very friendly and helpful, food was lovely and a lot of it, rooms comfortable bit noisy with the road but we knew that before we booked.

Sensational Sunday roast!

Cannot fault the food. We ordered haddock, chips etc. Chicken club sandwich, Chicken wrap. Cheesecakes, sticky toffee pudding. 
Staff were grumpy and discourteous. Two members of our family had severe difficulties in walking, they used the ramp to try to access the building, but were told to walk around to the front entrance ?????

Good food, poor service

Very happy with our return visit

On a fairly quiet road junction, we did experience some road noise early in the morning. The carpark is rough.Staff made an effort to welcome us, offering fresh milk for the room and help with luggage. Rooms were clean but need some updating especially the TV which you couldn't keep plugged in if you wanted to boil a kettle. You have to move the bedside tables to access the sockets by the bed.The bathroom was well appointed with a modern finish. The shower took some working out and you will get wet switching it on!Breakfast was good, nice to have fresh fruit and cooked to order hot dishes.All that said we think it is overpriced.

Expected more for the price

Great place to eat, we visited last year and found food was very good and we were not disappointed on this visit,

Staff Very attentive and a good service at a very busy place,

Good food a great place to eat

What a lovely place.!

Arrived to be given an upgrade on our room! The room was clean, functional and spacious. Lovely bathroom. Friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is great for pub food. Can’t go wrong, good value for money. Will definitely be returning and happy with our two night stay. Thank you Cross foxes :)

We had an excellent stay here. We parked with ease in the large on-site free car park.  The hotel was easy to find on a major junction. We had a warm welcome and check-in process was quick and easy.  Our room was wonderful and tastefully decorated with a warm cosy feel. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom modern. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed a very tasty meal in the pub restaurant downstairs in front of the roaring fireplace.  We even enjoyed the sounds of some fast jets going by.  Recommended!

Warm welcome and delicious food

Fabulous location for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer. The hotel staff are wonderfully friendly, and enthusiastically good at their jobs . The restaurant  is comfortable, modern, and tables spaced out so that guests are not in each others faces! The food is top notch for mixed bar and grill. The outside elevated decking area has fine views and is large, with tables and chairs. The room we had was perfect (modern in taste) for our needs, lovely shower, with top rate facilities, large comfortable bed, and a "cut above" tea and coffee service  The only, and I mean, only small reservation. The sound of the traffic on the road adjacent to the room (we always have a window ajar - summer or winter!) was sometimes intrusive, but a small quibble only. Value for money?  A little expensive, but you are paying for modern and innovative facilities, plus location., location, location!
